Miranda rules! Would that our Beeb puts this on for us. Endless Little Britain re-runs I could do without.

You are trying to remind me the road to Guy is the road to destruction, are you not, Flowers?

Such a clever vid though. I love the way the images are sync'd to the lyrics. Especially the Lucy Brwon bit. You get to see the reverse tunic-doffing and wiggle, after all.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:10

I'm sorry to hear that, Theresa. On the theme of the Rolling Stones, I found . Some lovely equestrian action here - hope it makes you smile. Or sigh wistfully.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:10

Re Mirands again, I expect we have all had our skirts fall down and leave us dancing in our knickers, have we not. Or similar. How about the visit to the loo in posh caff and return with skirt tucked into pants, revealing the lingerie du jour to interested fellow lunchers?

Uh, all comments getting out of synch.

The road to Guy might have been one of destruction for Marian but it ain't necessarily so for an Academic, surely? What with all this Knowledge wot we have acquired and our own innate wisdom and savoir-faire.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:18

Oh Lawdy, Flowers, you are trying to set me off again, aren't you. Sigh, he sits a horse so well.

Have you noticed Richie has lovely ears too?

PS I haven't had a sighting of the baked bean tin armour for ages, it left me feeling quite nostalgic

StripeyMoon · 06/01/2011 22:18

Off to bed, not sleeping well lately so I am exhausted. I will review this evenings offerings in the morning.

Night all.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:20

Oh dear...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:22

Good night Stripey and thanks again for the daytime treat.

the oh dear was in response to my own last posting btw not to Stripey's, though of course I am sorry she's not been sleeping

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:23

No, I'm not trying to set you off, Theresa. I hoped you might find them consoling, all that elegant horsemanship and evidence that Guy can read. I too was struck by how rarely these days we see the BBT armour.

Why oh dear?

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:26

Good night, Stripey. If you're having sleeping, perhaps a good book might help?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:27

I said something rather more revealing than I ought, perhaps. but hey! So, Flowers, you reckon we could handle Gisborne, do you? Maybe we'd make a better job of it than Marion, but even so, he is a bit on the dodgy side, I have to admit. Which of course is part of his charm.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:29

Nice cover on N&S, Flowers. Another thing that is on my list. They do sell a lot of the UK classics here but they have everything but N&S, I checked.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:35

I'm far from sure that I could, ahem, handle Gisborne or that I would want to, but I am confident that - speaking purely hypothetically, of course - anyone who had conducted rigorous and dispassionate research into his character, actions and motives could do so. Or at least enjoy the attempt. This Charming Man, indeed.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:37

Do you ever come back to the UK, Theresa? In my crystal ball, I see a shopping trip to Waterstones and HMV.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:37

Maybe is too late to help Stripey but I am sure we can find some use for him.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:40
Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 22:49

Oh yes, I do get over to the UK once or twice a year. You can tell when I've been because the retail sales figures shoot up. I arrive with empty cases and leave with chewed fingernails worrying about excess baggage charges the night before my flight.

And last time I didn't know about The Man, and all his emanations.. Though my horrorscope (sic) did mention that there would be new Love in my life. I thought that was a right laff riot at the time.

When I said ''handle'' I used the word in the figurative sense. I hope you realised that.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 22:58

Well, you'd better hurry. Both Waterstones and HMV (part of the same parent company) are closing shops because sales are down. They Need You. Although if you stayed long enough you could buy it all on Amazon and have it delivered to Theresa c/o the Nottamun Lovenest Hotel?.

I assumed that the ambiguity of handling Guy was deliberate. You'll have to try harder than that to convince me otherwise.

PrairieOyster · 06/01/2011 23:02

Evening !!! I've brought to sample - it's great!

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 23:08

Hi Oyster. I'm just about to go up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire, but will pause a while to scrutinise this new monograph.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 23:13

Here's a to keep you company while you are waiting for the good doc. it's a relatively cheerful Lucas one, Lucas fans - rarer than hen's teeth!

Oh nooo, Waterstones is one of my fave haunts. Borders was on the out last time I was over. what is the world coming to?
I have to admit I do order a lot of stuff from Amazon when I'm over, hence the worry about excess baggage.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/01/2011 23:15

Oh, Oyster, what a coincidence, I was studying compass points too.

Let me get a quick goodnight to Flowers, if she's off, and then back to Mr North.

asmallbunchofflowers · 06/01/2011 23:16

Oh I say, Oyster, that is very beautiful and elegiac. And very clever and sly to have Lucas and Harry shaking hands on "do a deal with God".

Now to look at Theresa's little treasure.

PrairieOyster · 06/01/2011 23:18

Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear
And it shows them pearly white
Just a jackknife has old MacHeath, babe
And he keeps it ? ah ? out of sight.

PrairieOyster · 06/01/2011 23:19

Darn it, another that won't play on my phone..
