He's not in it much, although what's there is rather nice!

I really would like to get a decent copy of BtS, but will wait until it's a lot cheaper.

The Impressionists has doubled in price since last week?!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 21:05

I had quite a thing for R. Daneel at one time. He's a great character. A shame he has bronze coloured hair though...
Thinking he needs an actor to portray him who can convey volumes of meaning with the flick of an eyelash. I have no idea where they would find one.
Looks like you will have to be my proxy viewer for Captain America, then Oyster. Unless anyone else is thinking of going to see it, for want of something better do of an August day Wink,

Funny - I just searched for Between the Sheets in Amazon and the search results include multiple other Armitage titles. Less than £13 though!!!!

snowy - CA release 29th July

SnowyMoon · 02/01/2011 21:17

Ta Mrs LN a late birthday pressie then Grin.

I am trying to download Venetia from iTunes but the account is in DHs name and so he will be notified! Our iPhones are synced too which is sometimes a Bad Thing.

PrairieOyster · 02/01/2011 21:20

I wonder if the CA producers knew about The Hobbit when they cast him. Judging by that Hobbit woods in-joke in Spooks9 Ep6 I am guessing that RA knew he had the part from around June at the latest. So it's possible, I suppose.

PrairieOyster · 02/01/2011 21:21

It will be a pleasant surprise to him then to get a bill and an earful of Armitage, Snowy...

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 21:23

Snowy, Venetia is just a Georgette Heyer Regency novel, no probs, surely? Smile

When was he cast in CA, then, Oyster?

OP posts:
PrairieOyster · 02/01/2011 21:27

There has never been a formal announcement of his casting but back in July, some fans went to watch Spooks filming and were told by one of the crew that his next project would be CA. This happened on two separate occasions. And that's all that was known till he was spotted on set in September, I think.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 21:33

Still laughing at 'earful of Armitage'
But what mere bloke's going to make the identification after all? I reckon Snowy will be fine.

Not a very big part perhaps, then, in CA?

OP posts:
SnowyMoon · 02/01/2011 21:35

Is his part quite small do you think?

MrsLucasNorth · 02/01/2011 21:36

ROFL Snowy - have you not seen Cold Feet Series 5?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 21:39

Just wet my pants here...sorry, TMI.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 02/01/2011 21:41

speaking of which...

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 21:44

I think we've been invaded by TTL

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 02/01/2011 21:47

S'not my fault...Snowy started it!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 21:51

I think ultimately it was my fault, and me so usually quick on the double entendre uptake.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 02/01/2011 21:52

Perhaps I misconstrued Snowy's question...come back Snowy - was it you or me with the filthy mind to begin with?

PrairieOyster · 02/01/2011 21:55

It's difficult to gauge the size of his role. He filmed for a couple of months at least but he was never 'announced' in the way that people like the 'stars' were though I think it is perfectly possible that his role is more substantial than some of their roles, which will probably turn out to be cameos eg Samuel L Jackson. There's info around about some of his scenes but I don't want to spoil anyone.

SnowyMoon · 02/01/2011 21:57

[innocent emoticon] Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 02/01/2011 21:59

I got the impression from what little I've read that his role is pretty much 'chief baddie', but if you think about the bad guys in James Bond films you don't necessarily see that much of them.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 02/01/2011 22:00

What do other people think? I am quite happy either way, on the subject of spoilers. Being as I won't get to see it for ages after the release!!!

I'm so glad you didn't phrase that differently, Oyster - there would have been no hope for poor Holly Grin!

SnowyMoon · 02/01/2011 22:00

Do you think I can persuade the DC that it's a film they would enjoy?
