Synchronicity, Holly! Xmas Wink

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:00

Mr Thornton's entreaties indeed!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:04

I do admit we got a little too tied up with 850 year old bad boys and rather good-looking spymen with ambivalent personalities,. during our studies.

I thought it was but thought I'd best check! Who's up for a festive mojito?!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 22/12/2010 23:08

It was a fine piece of creative writing on your part, Holly. I re-read it only the other day.

bupcakesandcunting · 22/12/2010 23:08

Damn it. On iPhone so can't click the links booooooooo! Xmas Sad

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:09

What's a mojito? A little mojo?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 22/12/2010 23:13

Tied up, Holly? You wish!

My eyes have packed up and I'm on my way to bed, but a festive mojito? Hmm. As a nightcap, why not? Thank you, cupcakes.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:13

Mr Thornton is so delicious to write about, Missy, so restrained yet so and to see the way his whole face lights up is something beyond oooh.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:17

Well, I shall certainly raise my glass to that litle thought, Missy.

What did I say last time, now?

Aha, me proud beauty. Now it's your turn to beg!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:18

If you can't open the link, cupcakes, that was poor Gizzy, tied to a tree.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 22/12/2010 23:19

Well, last time we saw your version of Mr Thornton he was tilting up my face and forcing me to meet the electric blue fire in his eyes. Should you ever get the creative urge to write another paragraph or two (without, of course, descending to Runcorn Romance's tawdry level), don't fight it.

Mojito recipe

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:25

Oaky doaky, Missy, I shall muse on the topic.

No, only kidding.

PrairieOyster · 22/12/2010 23:26

Hi Guys - looks like hubby has nicked the laptop so I'm still on the iPhone...

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 22/12/2010 23:32

Ah but if, taking his lead from Lovelace only in this respect, he were to sing, that might be quite appealing. Or perhaps a few notes on the cello?

Well, that mojito was delicious. Good night all. I leave you with .

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:36

Goodnight Missy, sleep well. I shall think on your suggestions.
Hello Oyster, how was your movie?

PrairieOyster · 22/12/2010 23:38

It was very good actually - I always like a Cohen Brothers movie. Jeff Bridges excellent as usual, Matt Damon surprisingly good too.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 22/12/2010 23:44

Off to NZ in Jan, back in summer?

That's 6 months of diet & exercise followed by lots of cultural trips to the capital during the summer hols then! Xmas Grin

OP posts:
Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:47

Just been looking at Missy's parting gift. That scene gets to me, no matter how many times I watch it.

Shameful confession now. I fell asleep in the middle of listening to CD 7 of LOTN, last night. How could I? I will probably get drummed out of the Academy.

PrairieOyster · 22/12/2010 23:47

Cultural trips to the capital - NO he's got to come back to the UK and do The Rover during the hols....!!!

PrairieOyster · 22/12/2010 23:48

Yes, I have watched the parting gift too, lovely distraction... and got distracted by a couple of other things too..

Theresahollyinyourmind · 22/12/2010 23:49

I like your spirit, MrsLNP! Who Dares Wins, and all that

PrairieOyster · 23/12/2010 00:03

What next to buy on the Armitage shopping list....? Of the ones I have not seen...

  • Between the Sheets
  • Ultimate Force
  • The Golden Hour
  • Cold Feet
  • Macbeth (with Anthony Sher)
  • Marple: Ordeal by Innocence
  • Malice Aforethought
  • Inspector Lynley

Of the ones I have seen:

  • Robin Hood, S1, S2 and S3
  • Spooks, S8, S9
  • George Gently
  • Marie Lloyd

I'm starting to lean towards finally buying Between the Sheets...?

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 00:06

You have got a lot of expense ahead of you there, Oyster.

PrairieOyster · 23/12/2010 00:08

Oh I am not buying them all now, and I will probably never buy some of them....

Just feeling like I might give myself a little after-Christmas pressie...!
