Sleepy time....last day of work tomorrow, then 2 weeks off!!!!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 00:14

The best possible kind. Some Armitage footage
sigh>>
I plan to get myself something nice after the holidays too but will have to wait for the weather and post to clear up.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 00:16

Faling asleep myself and still have to give half an hour to LOTN.

Oyster, I got The Golden Hour for about £2.50 from amazon marketplace so you could easily watch that without it breaking the bank! He is utterly beautiful in it but it is far from Quality Drama. In fact, here you go the top listing on this page has it for £3.30 inc. delivery

BtS would be my choice - I daren't put it on my birthday list but it will be mine at some point. Oh yes, it will be mine I have mentioned before that one YT scene in particular does Odd Things to me and I think I need to own this for further examination :)

Oh great, DD has nits. Just what I need when I have a million things to do today.

PassTheTwiglets · 23/12/2010 07:23

That link went wrong. this is the right one

SnowyMoon · 23/12/2010 07:53

Twiglets I still have the spare strikeback if you are interested?

MrsLucasNorthPole · 23/12/2010 08:31

Twiglets - I suspect the scene to which you refer comes from episode 4, just so you know when the time comes. He's in BtS just enough to keep your interest up and most of the time only half dressed (or not dressed at all - body double?) It's good anyway though.

Amazon tried to get out of replacing my faulty copy - wanted to give me a refund, which would have meant i'd had to order it again at the new extortionate price. I stood my ground though, so hopefully it will be ringing its way to me soon, along with the 2 Heyer audiobooks. Have you heard any of them yet, Twigs?

...winging its way, even.

Am knackered. Got in from Xmas food shopping at 2.15am. By the time I'd put away and had a coffee & mince pie DD had woken up and decided she wanted to do 'couch camping', so got to sleep about 4am, and she's been up since 6.45!!!! Biscuit

Morning all!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 23/12/2010 11:01

For anyone feeling under the weather or overwhelmed by Christmas, try while gazing at this.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 11:04

Morning ladies, from the sunny banks of the great grey-green greasy Limpopo. Can I eat my mince pie later, strong coffee is more what I need.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 11:06

Oh, and the delighful offerings from Missy are a better pick-me-up than freshly squeezed orange juice.

Freshly squeezed Johnny, now there's a thought.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 23/12/2010 11:09

Freshly-squeezed Johnny? Could I do the squeezing?

Right. I must exercise my customary will of iron, drag myself away from the Academy and go to the draper's and the costermonger's. Wish me luck.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 11:12

Who else could be the Johnny-squeezer-in- Chief, Missy? Good luck on your dangerous mission. I trust you are taking someone with you to carry your baskets?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 23/12/2010 11:15

Oooh. Christmas has come early.

Sadly no, this is a solo mission. The Poet and Offspring are on a mission of their own and it's Dixon's once-yearly day off.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 23/12/2010 12:25

Thanks for the coffee and toast.
Couldn't believe that last night I was unable to get stollen or a yule log - what is the world coming to?

OP posts:
Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 13:56

Disgusting, that's what it is, MrsLNP. I just fancy a big slice of stollen too, all bursting with scrummy almond paste. You can't get them here in Limpopoland Xmas Sad

MrsLucasNorthPole · 23/12/2010 14:07

I'm not keen on marzipan generally, but we had a lovely stollen last year, so this year I didn't bother making a traditional Xmas cake and what happens? Xmas Angry

BTW, it appears that The Hobbit dwarves will be filming for most of next year, with June, July & August off. Probably not enough time for a restoration comedy, but maybe another audiobook?

Perhaps we ought to send Naxos a wish list Grin

OP posts:
PrairieOyster · 23/12/2010 14:20

I think that three months would be enough time for a restoration comedy - even allowing time for rehearsals, and of course assuming that he is dedicated enough to his craft to spent most of his break from the Hobbit working....

sigh the things I do...

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 14:25

Oh yes, to the Naxos thing. I am so annoyed that someoene else has already done N&S.
Have you anything you fancy?
I wouldn't mind some poetry, he does it so well.

There might just be time for The Rover if he has done some work on it previously. Though why I am concerned excapes me as I probably won't be able to see it anyway.
No, I do know, it would be almost as good getting the detailed reports of the occasion from you lot. Cos I know you care.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 14:27

Oh, good, Military Intelligence agrees with me!
Who has collapsed, Oyster, you or him?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 23/12/2010 15:50

Just back from the seventh circle of hell, ie Christmas shopping. Is it too early for a bracing glass of Chateau Gizzy?

As I have the house to myself, I will be rolling around on the floor with Mr Thornton (sorry to disappoint, but I mean wrapping Christmas presents while watching North and South).

Theresahollyinyourmind · 23/12/2010 15:59

Welcome back, Missy. I am glad you survived. I may have a little something for you later, WHEN you have finished wrapping your presents, of course. Work before play.

Meanwhile, do help yourself to the Gizzy.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 23/12/2010 16:07

Barely survived, Holly, barely. But things are looking up - I am just getting comfy on the Aubusson with Mr Thornton.

I hope cupcakes will be in later via a device which permits her to see YT. I think we should share the Steamy One with her.
