Oooooh. Golly!

MrsLucasNorthPole · 30/12/2010 19:17

I'm less interested in interrogation and more interested to find out if there's any way of wangling a ticket to the premiere in the summer!

Just about. Home by 7 but DH invited older bil over to look at some work we've just had done on house. Was gone 8 before he left.

Have spent last 90 mins in hot bath with vodka, twiglets and Spooks dvd...sanity slowly returning Grin!

CA due for general UK release 22nd July afaik, so premiere presumably sometime that week

PrairieOyster · 30/12/2010 22:14

Evening! Ooh that is exciting about your younger SIL - you must play that connection for all it's worth!!!! A couple of tickets to the premiere (the UK premiere, I presume) would be awesome for you!

Saw someone's comment about the Lucas name growing in popularity. My young nephew is called that name, but was born somewhat before Spooks7 broadcast - but it does give me a certain thrill when yelling out his name!! Weird!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 22:17

ooooh! I wonder if I can wangle a trip... Just to see the movie at an ordinary show, mind you. I don't know people Wink
How was Lucas? I still haven't had the chance to watch the last DVD of S8

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 22:22

Oyster, you gotta get your thrills where you can in this world, IMHO.

MrsLucasNorthPole · 30/12/2010 22:47

Frail but gorgeous (S7). Malcolm actually asks him if he wants some soup when he first comes back to the grid after being released Grin

PrairieOyster · 30/12/2010 22:48

Ha!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 22:50

Oh,wibble. Can't wait to watch my DVDs again but you know what the hols are like.

PrairieOyster · 30/12/2010 22:51

Spooks S7 was my introduction to The Man...

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 22:52

Ha, Oyster! Wink

Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 22:57

I suppose it was N&S for me, strictly speaking, but as I was watching it with a crowd of people who were into social history, he never registered. First time I really noticed him was standing behin Vaisey with his arms crossed. A proper French Lieutenant's Woman moment, as Missy would say.

But as the waif-like S7 Lucas, golly, I can't imagine that...

MrsLucasNorthPole · 30/12/2010 23:18

I'd noticed him virtually every time I'd seen him on tv but he was never in anything long enough for me to really have a proper crush until Spooks (remember seeing trailer for him as Gizzy but DD was much smaller then and timing was no good).

Weirdly most of the celebs I've really fancied have started in musical theatre...RA, Hugh Jackman, John Barrowman (I know!)...

OP posts:
Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 23:28

Oh, John Barrowman is mortal pretty, MrsLNP!

I say RA didn't register in N&S, that's not strictly true, I remember thinking hmm, momentarily but the moment passed. But Gizzy.,. And I was laughing and sneering at the show, too. And then thinking, wait a minute, am I supposed to be fancying Robin here, because I'm so not. Do they mean the baddie to be drop dead gorgeous or is it just my twisted mind?

MrsLucasNorthPole · 30/12/2010 23:41

That was pretty much the extent he'd registered with me as well - can't imagine what took me so long now!

It's v. quiet here tonight isn't it?

OP posts:
Theresahollyinyourmind · 30/12/2010 23:43

Everyone out partying I expect.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 31/12/2010 00:02

Shall we shut up shop then, for the night?

Goodnight, MrsLNP,

MrsLucasNorthPole · 31/12/2010 00:05

Nighty night Holly!

Who am I to disagree?]]

MrsLucasNorthPole · 31/12/2010 08:40

Sweet dreams indeed Missy! Like the pic Grin

As for trading saucy remarks with JP - not guilty ( I was too busy 'twirting' with Lucas last night) Grin!

OP posts:
Theresahollyinyourmind · 31/12/2010 09:03

Morning all, and who indeed would disagree with that handsome photo of a cravat and its distinguished owner?

I see Annie Lennox has made the New Year Honour list, btw.

I too made no saucy remarks to JP, last night or at any time, unless doughnuts are saucy. Besides, he's always so busy with his lady friend.

I shall reserve my saucy remarks for someone else. Naming no names.
