Welcome to the new common room! Grab yourself some Twiglets and a glass of Chateau Gisborne or some Polish Cordial and come on in - the water's lovely!

Whatever do you mean, MrsLNP?

Lotster · 09/12/2010 18:13

Ugh, two screeching small people demanding my attention, they care nothing for RA. Heathens...

Will think up plan during bedtime.

lovelyopaque · 09/12/2010 18:17

Ladies, am I excluded form the Academy for having missed so many lectures? You'll notice we have gone from 40denier to opaque on account of the cold snap. I had a horrible time watching Guy's demise the other Sat am so you can imagine my delight when I sat down the following weekend to an earlier (series 2?) episode, with Guy looking both alive and positively toothsome!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:17

Haven't you yet begun their indoctrination education, Lotster? My Offspring begs to be allowed to watch Robin Hood and can offer an analysis of Mr Thornton's character and motivation.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:20

How lovely to see you again. I hope you weren't disturbed by the noise from our party on Monday. Have a ratafia biscuit. Or perhaps a twiglet.

lovelyopaque · 09/12/2010 18:22

I missed a party! Sad

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:25

There was a fancy dress party on Monday, with Secret Santa and everythin'. If you read up-thread a bit, you'll see that Theresa-Holly is planning another for New Year, complete with burlesque.

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 18:26

Welcome back in new guise, Lovelyopaque. We never exclude our alumni, especially ones who find dear Sir Guy toothsome.
it's pretty easy to catch up on our lectures, which can mostly be summed up in three words
drool
swoon
thud

lovelyopaque · 09/12/2010 18:27

I love the word "toothsome" and rarely have cause to use it so I am happy!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:28

... and not forgetting

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:29

In case of emergency, break glass

MrsLucasNorthPole · 09/12/2010 18:34

...also !

Welcome back!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 18:38

You wil have plenty of occasion to use ''toothsome'' here, lovely. Look at Missy's delicious snack.

lovelyopaque · 09/12/2010 18:40

I saw that. Using my new name in that way "lovely", has a certain rural charm don't you think/

PrairieOyster · 09/12/2010 18:41

Hello lovelyopaque

I don't think we've met

BTW loving the talk about Clarissa - I am well aware that Mr Loveless is a scoundrel but that voice

Wish I could be around during the day, darn it!

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 18:42

In an old Westcountryman sort of way, lovely?

lovelyopaque · 09/12/2010 18:46

Exactly that! Spooks is still on every day on Watch and I have loads recorded. Could it be series 7 yet I wonder. I would check right now, but small children hogging tv. Hello Oyster.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:49

It's all getting very Jude the Obscure, all of a sudden

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 18:52

The voice should come with a government health warning. I have never, ever...

but moving swiftly on, how nice to be able to OD on Spooks. I have S7 and S8 on DVD but am rationing myself to one a week. Lucas has just found out that Sarah isn't all she seems to be. And he still sleeps with her

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 18:53
PrairieOyster · 09/12/2010 18:54

Series 7 has just started on Watch - but it's on in the wee small hours so definitely needs to be recorded. I hear that it has been cut a bit to fit the timeslot though - Spooks being 60 minutes long on BBC1.

I also watch the Robin Hoods that are on Watch at the weekends - my only way to watch RH at the moment being penniless as I am

Btw would anyone like a list of suggested people to follow on Twitter from me - in order to reinforce our studies here I mean?

PrairieOyster · 09/12/2010 18:56

Oh yes he still sleeps with her...for Queen and Country of course!

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 09/12/2010 19:00

Psssstt. Holly, as our resident choreographer and répétiteur. I was just wondering whether one of our New Year dance routines might be based on this. Things .

Theresahollyinyourmind · 09/12/2010 19:01

Thanks, Oyster, that would be a help. Maybe I will finally be able to get the hang of Twitter. I take it you have weeded out everyone from Runcorn?

Someone else was complaining about Lucas-lopping on Watch.

I feel your pain re not being able to afford all the RH and everything else you want. I am broke too.

And my copy of Venetia STILL isn't here.
