Welcome to the new campus of the Academy for Advanced Armitage Studies, part of the University of Milton-Northern.

We offer courses at all levels from introductory to advanced and opportunities for independent research. Come and share your learning with us.

You can spot the eBay sellers at the sales - all going for the girls age 3/4/5 stuff! (the older girls stuff doesn't sell nearly as well, as I've learned to my cost). And then the same things start to appear on eBay a week later.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 13:09

Why is that, do you think, Boden? Is it because the clothes aren't so attractive in that range?

StripeyMoon · 24/11/2010 13:10

sneaky pic of Matts guyliner here (scroll down and ignore Gavin's far too obvious torso).

Never mind guyliner, Guy looks as if he uses Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express mascara in some of the shots.

And why not?

StripeyMoon · 24/11/2010 13:17
Grin
Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 13:19

Floats my boat anyway...

StripeyMoon · 24/11/2010 13:20

My DS has beautiful blue eyes and the longest black lashes you've ever seen on a boy. When he is a bit older (like 20 years!)I may have to explain to him why all the women are swooning

asmallbunchofflowers · 24/11/2010 13:22

Is that your recommendation for the best mascara, Theresa? I need a new one.

Matt's guyliner doesn't do it for me I'm afraid, Stripey. It seems incongruous because he's Just So Nice. But I have to say his hip action is impressive.

Are we turning into the Armitage School of Beauty Therapy?

MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 13:24

Stripey, must counsel caution with the hair dye, as I'm sure you know, sometimes a softer shade is better when covering grey..
Good luck with the contacts, tho his "tawny eyes" sound lovely. Smile

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 13:28

I just picked that one out of Google, I am afraid, Flowers, as it had a suitably silly name.
I have yet to find one that doesn't make my eyes run, and I have tried more or less everything. Maybe we should trot over to Style and Beauty and start a thread on there Grin

StripeyMoon · 24/11/2010 13:31

They are lovely MO, I am a Bad Wife.

StripeyMoon · 24/11/2010 13:34

It was nice to see Matt looking a bit rough instead of the usual Nice Flowers. Hip action is very watchable.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 13:36

As an aside, I don't think we have seen anything like before, Flowers. A novel idea at least.

MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 13:36
MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 13:43

Gorgeous, Theresa. Though I'd seen the SFR one first, d'oh.

asmallbunchofflowers · 24/11/2010 13:47

Oh, MadameOvary, we spent some happy moments a thread or two back dribbling musing about Mr Armitage on Strictly. He is said to be gifted at the Argentinian tango and has even described himself as snake-hipped. But sadly he is on record as saying he won't do it.

I do agree, Stripey, about the importance of the hip action. 'Tis always that which marks out the best of the male contestants in Strictly. Those that dance with all the suppleness of an ironing board never last long.

Ah, Theresa, I found that this morning when I was looking for Armitage + Muse combos. C'est magnifique. Do you think The Poet would mind if I installed Mr Thornton over the mantelpiece?

OP posts:
MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 13:51

Flowers, I really want to know who The Poet is. Can you reveal in a PM? Wonder if I or my own Poet know them.

If you would prefer to remain incognito tho, i understand. It is all in keeping with the spirit of this thread after all.

asmallbunchofflowers · 24/11/2010 13:53

Did you also find , Theresa? The likeness is perhaps not quite so good, but hey.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 13:57

Well works on several levels at once.
Adds a new Gallic fillip to our source materials
Demonstates the new beauty look pour hommes A/W 1192
Auditions for Strictly as demonstates plenaty of faultless hip action
Finally, not one sign of armour for those not enarmoured of it

And you thought your puns were bad, Flowers.

asmallbunchofflowers · 24/11/2010 13:59

Oh, MadameOvary, sorry. I didn't mean to mislead you. I call The Poet The Poet On this thread because I don't like the MN thing of "dh", we sometimes post poems which seem appropriate to various of the Armitage personae - such as Theresa's ploy of quoting Tennyson to get me into a clinch with Mr Thornton - and (bless him) he reads me poetry and bits of North and South. He is not actually a poet, published or otherwise, although he is prodigiously knowledgeable about it.

Are you a bona fide poet?

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 14:01

No it isn't, that's why I didn't post it, Flowers. But I wish I could do something half as good.

MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 14:03

Theresa, I am, to repeat one of the comments, drooling to the point of dehydration Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 24/11/2010 14:04

Madame O, you are a woman of true discernment.

MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 14:05

Flowers, aaaaahhhh I see!
Well I am about to have my first selection published (early next year I think) so yes, I guess I am. Still ridiculously pleased about it. Quite small scale in the scheme of things, but nice to be acknowledged.

MadameOvary · 24/11/2010 14:10

Can you imagine what these wonderful vidders will do with series 9 of Spooks???
I would love to do one with this song It's the one called "Dead Man" and I love the lines.

He said I
Want To Be
Where No-one Knows Me
And Maybe There
Someone Will Care

Followed by the most awesome guitar solo ever. I love it. Play it loud, and imagine Lucas!
