Welcome to the new campus of the Academy for Advanced Armitage Studies, part of the University of Milton-Northern.

We offer courses at all levels from introductory to advanced and opportunities for independent research. Come and share your learning with us.

Hello Grin
Lovely faculty you have here.

asmallbunchofflowers · 23/11/2010 20:09

Hi there. Do you think we should have a sherry Polish cordial party to celebrate our arrival here?

I went back to look at Cupcake's original thread. We are a venerable institution - this august seat of learning has been in existence for nearly two whole months. We seem to have covered a lot of ground in that time.

I don't remember whether this treasure from our research archive has been discussed recently. It forms part of the module on .

Evening ladies, I see you have been busy today polishing off the post grad diploma in Armitage studies. Is this the MA?

Interested in this thread?

Then you might like threads about this subject:

Sod it, I'll have a sherry, Flowers. Beats taking a coffee into lectures any day.

StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:14

And also has to be on each thread surely? (apologies in advance for it's repeat but whoever put it up again on the last thread made me go and pause on 3.03!!)

MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:15

Hm too many commas there.

asmallbunchofflowers · 23/11/2010 20:18

Aaargh Britney!!!!

That's better.

OP posts:
MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:20

Excellent choices ladies.
Don't worry about repetition. The mark of a good text is that it can bear endless scrutiny.

MrsLucasNorth · 23/11/2010 20:25

GrinMadame

I have my 2 new texts to study in depth. Sparkhouse and Golden Hour arrived today - something for the weekend methinks!

After all those lovely Guy clips think I'm feeling inspired enough to produce round 2 of John Lucas. Any volunteers...?

MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:29

To read it? Hell yeah Grin

PrairieOyster · 23/11/2010 20:33

I'll read it... In the meantime, a little Strike Back diversion

This is quite a novel video I think...very well done.

StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:33

mememememememememememe Grin

StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:36

Oyster that's very clever - loved the 'especially you' bit.Grin

asmallbunchofflowers · 23/11/2010 20:41

MadameOvary - How true. The classics are always worth returning to. It is that, after all, which makes them classics.

Stripey - Is this the MA? I don't know. What do you think? I thought we were probably offering courses at all levels, to cater both for the longstanding students and those such as MadameOvary who have recently enrolled. But perhaps Madame is going to plunge straight into a PhD?

Meanwhile, some of you may want to do some revision for the module on .

StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:46

Fingers in ears Flowers.....
A like this should definately wear a warning]].

Fair point Flowers, although it appears to me that MO is well versed in the arts of RA. I believe she may have already taken the advanced courses elsewhere?

MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:47

Oyster - that was brilliant.
Don't let anyone whinge about "dumbing down" with the use of graphic novel either. They are just as relevant as the other texts.

MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:47

And yes, I'll plunge. Oh yes Grin

StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:50

Does anyone know if you can get just audio off a YT clip. I really want to put 'come and find out' on my phone Grin.

I have requested Venetia audio book from my library but it is already out and someone else is waiting for it Hmm, do any of you lot live round here??

MrsLucasNorth · 23/11/2010 20:53

There was a quite a wait for Venetia at my library too. You're not on the South Coast are you?

asmallbunchofflowers · 23/11/2010 20:54

Have you tried the charity book and music shops, Stripey?

Congratulations on taking the, ahem, plunge, Madame.

OP posts:
StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:55

No, Bucks. Maybe the Word is spreading!

PrairieOyster · 23/11/2010 20:55

I've got Venetia grin

Have your studies considered Stick Figure Richard (aka SFR) yet?

Here is the volume.

MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:55

Have you seen ?

StripeyMoon · 23/11/2010 20:57

I have gone on the waiting list Flowers, tis only 50p but I may have to wait a month. I find listening to the audio allows me the pleasure of his honey voice while I deal with my work on the pc. Watching YT clips means I do sod all work and then feel guilty.

MadameOvary · 23/11/2010 20:59

And may also provide a pleasant distraction while you wait.
