Well guess who's on my telly. But I have come here instead. Athough it is something kind of oooh, indeed. But I have the DVDs

asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 21:11

There is true nobility in your sacrifice, Theresa.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 21:17

Not really, Flowers, as I can see him whenever I wish, I can even put the DVD on the computer and peek while I am MNing.
Same with Lucas.
So how far have you got with RH? I suppose there is only a certain amount you can impose on your Offspring!

Thanks to today's massive ironingfest I have seen three episodes of series 2 now. I have seen beg and fetch, several huge sniffs through the Noble Nose and a near-drowning in the BBT armour. Tres dramatique.

Offspring and The Poet are still on series one. Offspring is v v keen and has had a further marketing idea for an interactive game in which, as Marian, she can punch the baddies on the nose. The Poet laughs indulgently at all the anachronisms.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 21:30

Would it be a sort of wii handset that she would use? I must admit I admire Marion's punching power. It's useful to be able to defend yourself, though of course I don't condone gratuitous violence.

Bodenbabe · 30/11/2010 21:35

I am desperate to see "fetch" with audio - have seen it several times with a song over it and it was rather wibble-inducing even then, let alone with The Voice.

So who wants to see the loveliness I was saving for you for tonight? C'mon, beg.

asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 21:35

I think so, Theresa. And I think the Noble Nose might be vulnerable as she definitely sees Guy as a baddie (although, as per yesterday's conversation, she sees him as a lost soul in search of redemption). Likewise, I don't condone gratuitous violence but a woman's right to self-defence is a feminist bedrock, no?

OP posts:
asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 21:36

Boden - I am asking very nicely begging.

OP posts:
Bodenbabe · 30/11/2010 21:39

Sorry, hope I'm not overselling it :) - the reason it was for tonight wasn't that it was steamy or anything, just that it is appropriate for bedtime. Now then, who is feeling sleep and

I am waiting for that lovely vid to load but meanwhile i am mightily annoyed at Minghella and co and that Marion death scene as they freely admit crass manipulation. I saw that darn fountain thingy there in the backgroud and thought no they can't possibly have meant that to be there, how gross. But they did,
Boak, they are as bad as TTL.

asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 21:47

Oh, that was lovely Boden. Very atmospheric. I don't really know the Dixie Chicks (yet another gap in my knowledge) but that reminded me of the Be Good Tanyas, of whom I am most fond.

And I do like the look of Claude Monet, whatever anyone might say about the facial hair, because he is so smiley.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 21:51

The vid was gorgeous, Boden, thanks so much, it certainly took the bad taste away from my mouth. Far too high a quality to be called pick and mix, definitely a box of Godivas.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 21:53

Erm, some bits of it were steamy enough!

asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 21:54

As previously discussed, sometimes a hint or allusion works more powerfully on the imagination than a graphic depiction!

Bodenbabe · 30/11/2010 21:59

Hahahahaha, how slightly embarrassing and apposite! I posted a link to a dress in Stly & Beauty, asking if it was cute or not. But instead I used the last thing I'd cut & pasted, which was that Lullaby vid. So there I am, posting "is this cute" about a RA vid in Syle & Beauty Blush :)

Glad you liked the vid - lots of nice Dr Track in it.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 22:02

'Twas de-lovely anyway. Well researched, Boden. I have been searching the archives in vain, it all seems to be Strike Back or sad sad Lucas things.
I take it Guy is banned from waving his big sword.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 22:04

Ooops Boden, nothing like spreading the good news.

MrsLucasNorth · 30/11/2010 22:15

Looks lovely as far as I can tell Boden but only seems to play about 5 seconds at a time then keeps stalling - will have to have another peek tomorrow.

In the meantime, I need to figure out a way to get John Lucas out of trouble with the French Eurotunnel security staff!

asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 22:16

Oh dear, Boden. I just fell off the sofa. That's why I always test the links before I post. I was thinking this morning that perhaps I should post an is this cute thread about the bliaut dress I bought yesterday, which almost looks like something Marian would wear. But I couldn't bear it if everyone just said (to borrow Theresa's word) boak.

I am finding it more and more difficult to unearth interesting things in the basement - often they're just the same old medley of clips, shuffled a bit. But I did find this. It's . With an excellent soundtrack. What do you think?

OP posts:
Bodenbabe · 30/11/2010 22:26

Show us the link to your dress, Flowers - would love to see it!

MrsLN, has he been naughty again? Oh goody :)

I liked the Apocolyptica video but please tell me he isn't horrible to those children in the forest? I can cope with kebabing but I can't cope with that...

MrsLucasNorth · 30/11/2010 22:28

That is very dark Flowers. I can appreciate it from an artistic point of view, but it has confirmed my thoughts that I will never be able to bring myself to watch all of Robin Hood.

Apart from petulant fuckwit Robin, most of the outlaws remind me of a bunch of ferrets, although the clips I've seen of Alan A'Dale (I think) have made me laugh, and Lily Allen's dad makes my skin crawl - will have to stick to speed-viewing with the aid of the remote control methinks!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 22:28

Elegiac is the word. I loved the cellos too. but another sad one. Sigh.
There are an awful lot of duds out there aren't there Flowers? but there must be some goodies we haven't seen. I shall keep looking!

What sort of trouble is John Lucas in, or shouldn't I ask?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 30/11/2010 22:32

They should bring out a special version of RH with just the Guy bits in, Mrs LN. Though I suppose YT have more or less done that.

Love your description of the noble Outlaw and his merry men. Ha ha ha!

asmallbunchofflowers · 30/11/2010 22:33

I don't think I can bring myself to display my clothes for the MN style police, Boden, it was just an idle thought.

Guy, being Guy, attempts to be horrible to the children but Robin, being Robin, rescues them.
