The twaddle continues ......

I know this is heresy, but do you not think the doctor picture looks a bit like a prisoner? Thanks for karvol suggestion. Have not tried that and dc's are disgustingly snotty here too!

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 10:26

oo-er, am quivering at "all mine" and I don't even know the context! So is he reading the story, or is it an audio play?

40deniertights · 15/11/2010 10:26

Sorry, quick question. Where did you download your audio treats from? Think I am just giving in gracefully to it all now. I've tried to resist, but it's all too much.

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 10:32

Some excerpts here that you can listen to online without downloading... am just about to hve a listen!

MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 10:33

Theresa - how could you?

I'm trying to bloody work here and you go quoting Clarissa at me - I'll be wibbling for the rest of the day now!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 10:33

Theresa - Clarissa was the classic serial on Sunday afternoons, I believe. Just the thing to accompany the Earl Grey and hot buttered crumpets by the fireside.

Tights - Yes the orange jumpsuit is a bit Guantanamo. I just offer these pictures from the basement archive for anyone who find them, ahem, therapeutic.

The instructions for finding Clarissa are in one of my myriad posts from last night.

Must go. It's Guy's explosion in a quarry scene.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 10:34

Boden - believe me you don't want to know the context at this time in the morning!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 10:55

Boden, re context, just pick on your most unworthy thought and you'll be spot on.

So it rocked the nation at tea time. Earl Grey spat out over the silk tea dresses and cucumber snadwiches then.

40deniertights · 15/11/2010 10:55

Thanks Boden, will try that before downloading whole lot.

MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 10:56

Not sure if I've posted this before but if not, it's one you'll definitely appreciate it Flowers - lovely poem, lovely song, lots of Mr Thornton.

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 11:06

Dammit, that bit isn't online. Maybe it only has said effect having listened to the whole story though...?

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 11:08

Where's the link, MrsLN?

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 11:17

Sorry Flowers...

...blame Theresa - my head's still full of Lovelace!

MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 11:17

I rest my case Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 11:18

Boden there are quite a few pre-cursor quakes here and there. But the most seismically active has to be part 3.

Listen ladies, I have just had the most awful thought. Please tell me I'm wrong but what with the Guantanamo chic and the water-boarding, I am beginning to detect a theme.

Could it possibly be they suspect him of possessing gulp WMDs

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 11:20

Mrs LN YT have duly punished me for my wickedness, they won't let me watch that.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 11:22

Oh yes, MrsLN. We've had that before as part of one of our lectures in the Poetry Department. Always bears repetition.

Theresa - By doing my own ironing I am just Keeping It Real for Mr Thornton.

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 11:25

I have to admit, Theresa, I had developed a nasty habit of daily listenings to the end of chapters 2 and 3 last week, and had managed not to give into temptation over the weekend.

Now I've got DD in the next room and am having to fight the urge to go and get my headphones...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 11:25

Theresa - Looking at this thread and its predecessors, I am beginning to suspect that he is a WMD. Think of the national discombobulation caused by the tattoos/leather trousers/gloves/loosened cravat/brooding stare/shy smile [delete as appropriate].

OP posts:
Fettle · 15/11/2010 11:34

Help me ladies - I'm trying to abstain and I'm being dragged back. While watching the Remembrance Services over the weekend which are obviously close to my own dear John Porter DH - I felt there was too much twaddle in life and I should learn to be more serious.Hmm

Please tell me I'm right and I should lose this thread from my brain......

Or alternatively - pull me back into the fold!Grin I haven't read anything since Saturday afternoon, so I hope I've not missed too much that I can't catch up with!

(still not talking to Mrs LN for stealing GTN all for herself - I'm sure he'll still need his 'cello tuning from time to time by Fetticini!Wink)

MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 11:37

Oh, come now Fettle, I've had to wait nearly two weeks to get my mitts on GTN whilst writing everyone else's chapters - writers perks and all that Grin!

Haven't quite finished with him yet anyway Wink!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 11:40

Fettle, my thoughts are that there is far too much seriousness in life, and pleasure, joy and fun are fleeting. So you must grab onto it while you can. Well, that's my own experience anyway.

Fettle · 15/11/2010 11:41

To be honest MrsLN - I'll be quite happy just to admire him from afar - could he still just pop into my shop regularly with his 'cello and then I could just look at him and remember!! Wouldn't really like to be the other woman - I'm sure we could have some very intellectual conversations over polish cordial coffee!!

Work going well today, BTW?! My housework isn't!!Grin

Fettle · 15/11/2010 11:43

I know you're right Theresa! I just thought I was maybe getting a tad too obsessed when I really should spending more time on RL!!

But I think I've missed you allSadGrin!
