I am a Trad wife - ask me anything.

I mean, that has to be the quickest flounce off an AMA thread I have ever seen. Ask Me Anything apparently has become Ask Me Nothing.

Are there like variations on “trad wife” - I suspect I sort of am a just-not-very-good trad wife 😂 Meant to look after the kids, they’re sort of out of control, meant up cook, not great at that either… Is the definition more of a money thing? Or a control/decisions thing?

The tradwife lifestyle clearly doesn't involve a high level of literacy or writing ability either.

But it's not unreasonable for people to ask what is your version of trad wife. If you give us that we can ask more.

Personally I wonder why on earth you want to do it? Any version of it. Couldn't stand not to work and be 'just' a SAHHW

You started an ask me anything so people can ask you questions and then you won’t answer simple questions like what is your definition of a trad wife or what do you do. It’s more like you’re wasting peoples time not vice versa

if you ended up chronically ill how would that shape how you see yourself in the home/as a person (I am a former wanna be trad type wife...)

An advanced search reveals not much "trad" about this wife, imo.

I think she was hoping we'd ask about her kombucha recipe or how she fertilizes her runner beans. I think the trad wife movement is one of the most dangerous in recent history as it is based in inequality and seeks to strip women of fundamental rights all while promising a beautiful stress free life.

OP, this is living proof of the damage done to women like you. You can’t even engage in conversation. Are you used to your husband telling you what to think?

they do everything... cook, clean, child care, home ed even... they look nice as well lol. Its a whole role. The man is working so he deserves to have wife do it all. That is the mindset (from my own research)
