Do you plan on having more?

Bit confused: you have a small business and are a SAHM? How does that work?”

“MLMs probably?”

sorry, what are MLMs?

Multi level marketing schemes like doTerra and Herbalife. Pyramid schemes basically

How do you find balancing? Do some spend time with their fathers?

Balancing is not easy.
One starting seeing his dad when he was 8, for one hour a week. Dad took him to McDonald's and brought him home with sweets and pop. He's never asked to increase the time in almost 6 years.

3 don't see their dad and haven't for 6 years.

2 live with me and dad.

No, DH has had a vasectomy.

Do you have any step children?

how does your dh get on with his 4 step children?

how many bedrooms does your house have?

Lotsofbabies6 · 22/10/2022 10:28

FourTeaFallOut · 22/10/2022 10:00

How does your house differ compared to when you only had three children? Do you all fit around your dinner table? How many kgs is your washing machine? What kind of car/van do you drive? Do you have a stricter schedule to make the logistics of so many kids work?

Honestly - I have always loved the idea of a bigger -need a bell to call everyone for dinner - sized family but hit my upper limit with three.

It's easier than when I had three because I'm more experienced now and have a better husband.

We have two tables. I have a six seater and DH has a regular car. I do have a pretty strict schedule, yes.

Oh and we use Alexa in every room to announce dinner time 😅

No stepchildren. He manages them pretty well. We have 5 bedrooms but one is split into two so technically six

Is there pressure on your 14 year old son, to look after the little ones and be 'the man' of the house?

Lotsofbabies6 · 22/10/2022 10:31

AnApparitionQuipped · 22/10/2022 10:06

Hi OP. What are the dynamics within the group of siblings - do they form sub-groups or pairings?

They do but they change all the time! And my son stays out of it mostly 😂

I found that young children were relatively inexpensive, but a completely different story once they hit their teens, do you worry about how things will be financially when you have a tribe of teenagers?

No

Well I’m envious, I’d have loved 5 or 6. We ended up stopping at 3 because DH said no to more, but I’d have loved a couple more.

good luck op, you sound a great mum doing her best.

This is lovely. Thank you ❤️

Do you ever all get to go holiday?

We went abroad once, but now we have a caravan so go away three times a year to different places. Although all they want to do is go to Butlins 😂 so we're surprising them with that next year

That's rude. She says they were unplanned, not unwelcome or unwanted.

Oh very much wanted. Sad really but they're my only family

You won’t get any nice responses here OP. MN is allergic to anyone with more than 2 kids or less than 2 kids. It’s hilarious if they really cared about the environment they wouldn’t have any, or 1 😂 but it’s always 2! Anyway enjoy your kids. Just be mindful of not putting your parenting responsibility onto the older ones (this happened to me), and that you’ll have to forge some kind of new identity outside of being a mum when you’ve had your last and they’re a bit older.

Thanks 🤣❤️

Quite the opposite bless him. He has autism, and although he would deny it, I find that he acts a little bit "younger" than he actually is. Saying that, he does get rid of spiders for me

I am one of 6 children. We’re all adults now though ranging from early 20’s-late 30s.
Can I ask what you find most challenging? My mum said parents evening was hardest because it was one after the other after the other for days on end 🤣 and Easter/birthdays/Christmas was hard because of the expense involved and jealousy amongst siblings!
Just off the sly comments made - this woman must be exhausted physically, emotionally and financially looking after and loving and caring for her children. No need for the sly digs! I’m demented with just the one today so well done you! X

Alsorts really. I'm constantly worried that I'm not doing enough and that if they have any problems in the future it'll be my fault. I wish I had more energy to take them to the park every day 🤣

Gird your loins for when the rest become teenagers. Quite apart from the expense, friendship and relationship issues the pressures from school really ramps up.

GCSEs x 6
A levels x 6
UCAS x 6
University support x 6

Good luck

What a fucking nasty nasty question. OP has already stated there has been sexual abuse involved. What a vile person you are!

Oh I know this. There are ways and means. I do not say yes to everything. I am very mindful of emotional support as I had none from my parents. I'm saving my arse off to hopefully help them in the future
