Does sound fun. The opportunity to live abroad for example.

I’m not a football fan at all but have heard of the “big names” like Beckham, Rooney, Vardy, Kane, Bale et al.

Would someone like me have heard of your DH?!

What's his daily routine? Eg getting up time, training, do you get much help with the children?

How much does he earn? How much do footballers earn in general? I know sod all about sport but there are some crazy numbers on the press.

Are you sporty or Do you keep fit?

TheOnly no, you've probably not heard of him, he's premier league but not a "big" name Smile

Because it's been hot this week they've moved the training earlier. So today he was up at 7, breakfasted and out by 8. He'll train/meeting til about midday then maybe get treatment. I think they have their head shot photo shoot today (ah that's why he got his hair cut yesterday!) so that'll take a little while. He'll be back late afternoon. He's had a little groin niggle so his physio will come to the house later for more treatment.
It's not a long day but they train very hard,
Especially during pre season, they have to run off all those vacation calories!!

Two of the kids are secondary school age and more or less look after themselves. The LO is my main concern through the day but no I don't have any help with her (not needed). One of my friends has four rambunctious boys under 5yo, she has a nanny - I don't blame her!!

Do you think some of the other wives set their cap at being a ‘wag’?
i. e. Did some homework as to where to go and meet footballers

Has your husband's team been promoted to the premier league in 2018?

Report

MikeUniformMike · 11/07/2018 09:55

Or relegated from it?

Without giving exact amounts I can say he gets in the tens of thousands per week. Also they get bonuses for goals scored, matches won, matches drawn, appearance fees etc. It is crazy but DH is on the lower end of the premier league scale. The amount he pays in tax is eye watering and no we don't dodge tax at all Grin

I half heartedly go to the gym and prance about on a cross trainer a couple of times a week. I hate it. Hate gyms and hate the smell of them!

    Possibly.
It's crazy when we are out as a group to see single girls come over and do their very best to get the players attention. Sometimes it's so cringeworthy, 'sexy' dancing with their friends, purposely bumping into you, etc. We don't go out much nowadays thank goodness

This is a bit 'twenty questions'. The OP has tried not to out herself, so we shouldn't press for identifying facts. We should enjoy the thread for what it is, an insight into a different lifestyle.

I'd say he's got a good few years left in him, he keeps himself very fit and healthy (you'd think that was a given for a professional footballer but honestly it's shocking how many don't) and God willing no injuries to scupper the plans 🙏🏼🙏🏼

The moving can be difficult on the kids but they're pretty resilient and social media means they're never far away from their friends!
