Thanks for starting this thread op I'm finding it a really interesting read. I don't think I have any questions at the moment but I can understand now why so many wags don't have 'real' jobs what with all of the moving around you have to do.

I was referring to my previous post, where I asked if the footballers ever do charitable things with their money, or the stereotypical flash cars etc. It’s on the previous page. She said she doesn’t see much charitable use of their money

Thanks for this AMA OP, it’s been really interesting. I never would have expected to have things in common with a footballer’s wife (the moving around, hours from family, having to give up my job to follow OH parts, unfortunately not the handbags and holidays! 😂)

No, he's a teacher (sports - I clearly have a type )

Do you get a holiday in the summer?

We holiday in May/June when the season is done. He's back at work now and the kids are off school so I'll probably take them somewhere short haul for a week or so to break up the holidays (might need to rope in help from mum tho!)

How did you become friends with other famous people who aren't wags? Not sure if I'm asking the right question here, but do publicists/staff set up celebrity friendships and if so? Is it easier to be friends with a celebrity when you're married to one? I know you say you have your childhood friends but I've always wondered about celebrity friendships.

Ah, I am kinda old. It's all relative I'm the oldest WAG in the team
Never considered a footballer at all, was just never on my radar and I didn't go anywhere to meet any. Certainly never went to any matches haha
I was always ambitious in the work place and was the first member of my family to finish uni - it meant so much to my parents I wanted to follow it through as far as I could.
Saying that, they're not disappointed I'm now a housewife/WAG. In fact, I think they're my Dh's biggest fans

One of my childhood friends went on to be a pop star in the early 2000s and i met more 'celeb' friends through them. They're out of the limelight now but still get recognised. In fact it turns out DH and I were at the same Z list 'star studded' party a year or so before we actually met...!

I don't have any experience of publicists etc so couldn't comment for sure but I would think it probably happens a lot!

Yes we have two dogs (one is still a pup). They are my security and keep me company when DH is away!
