The reason I ask is that I did my DNA and got almost 100% Irish/Welsh/English so wondered if that meant that somewhere I had must have Irish gypsy blood. Can I PM you?

SecondRow · 16/07/2018 12:21

Very interesting thread, thanks OP.

I've heard of some groups of Irish Travellers offering tarmac-ing driveways and that kind of work over here in Germany and I think France too I was surprised as I wondered how they managed with the languages and so on, I thought you wouldn't pick up much if you are only in one place for a short time. Do you know anyone who spends a lot of time in Europe and do they speak the languages or not really need to?

Also do you have an Irish or British passport? Just interested :)

TakeABreak2 · 16/07/2018 13:20

Sorry op if this has been asked already. I’m really amused by the dancing I have seen at weddings / parties. Also the very provocative clothing on really young girls. Why is this seen ok if you’re Bought up so strict?

TakeABreak2 · 16/07/2018 17:23

because they are at a wedding/party with all their family mums dads cousins uncles brothers? not in a night club with aload of strangers and some people are actually very strict on what girls where? i suppose you seen it on MBFGW?

Op thanks for this thread

Can I say I truly disgusted by some of the posts in here . The racism and hostile questions for me is shocking and offensive

For what it’s worth not everyone thinks and acts like some of the morons in this thread

Really disgusting . And I am impressed how you have kept your temper

YoYotheclown · 16/07/2018 19:15

Not only on the show. We have a few traveler families near us and go to the same school as my ds. They have become friends. So have seen a few of these parties. I’ve alao heard about grabbings? Can you explain more about this please. Again sorry if this has been asked before.

TakeABreak2 · 16/07/2018 19:23

grabbings is blew way out of proportion - a random boy wont walk up to a girl and grab her Hmm its more than likely to be her boyfriend that her family dont know about and he dont hurt her hell just kiss her when shes giggling pretending to be pulling away Hmm but any way grabbing dont really happen

Re post up thread on burning the trailers of the dead- very interesting, Eastern European gypsies traditionally do that too. Death is seen as polluting.

Andromeida59 · 16/07/2018 22:53

OP - I'd be really interested to hear your response to my questions.

TakeABreak2 · 16/07/2018 23:09
