I am afraid we bring very sad news. There are no words really to describe her shattering loss, the wonderful Mumsnetter GoJetterGirl’s beautiful seven year old son has died following two years suffering with cancer. Life has been so utterly cruel to him, to his family and friends, to all who love and will miss him. We are so so sorry. GoJetterGirl’s thread is here and we know many of you supported her on there through until his devastating death on February 25th. We are so very sorry and send so much love thanks

We are so pleased that the lovely GoJetterGirl accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, there will be love in every stitch and we hope lots of warmth, comfort and memories for his little brother too. We hope that many of you who have already supported on her thread will be able to help make this blanket. Many thanks to @NoWordForFluffy for all her help.

We shall need donors of yarn, funds and crafters. Can you help us? We know that many are away or on summer breaks, so provisionally we are setting a last posting date of Monday 21st September

Here’s the crafting info…

Life can be so incredibly cruel, sending much love to GoJetterGirl and all her family.

I'd love to make some squares for this special Woolly Hug - I love bobble stitch so I'd like to make 7 squares each with a single letter spelling - J E T T E R S.

K&P I have PM'd you xxx

Bearfrills Wed 05-Aug-20 19:36:06

I'm looking at Drops in Heather (34) which might be a good match for Xuli?

How desperately sad this is. I so loved to read GoJetterGirl's posts about her special boy. Such love in every word. How lucky he is y to have her as his mummy. She is so lucky to be his mummy.

I'll donate for yarn this time, as I'm in US and want to make sure the post office does not lose my squares (there is talk of it going bust, thanks to the orange one interfering!)

Much love to the GoJetter Family.

Sorry if I've missed this info, but as I can't knit was hoping to donate money towards the costs of wool, postage etc? Could someone PM me the relevant details if this is possible?

AnneShirleysNewDress Wed 05-Aug-20 20:52:45

I can't knit and I'm only starting to learn to crochet but would be happy to help with yarn for GoJetterBoy. Is this colour any good?
