Are any of you anticipating perfume gifts for Valentine’s Day? We don’t usually bother with gifts but this year is so miserable that my husband and I are doing so. I am so so looking forward to opening my Perfume Society Niche 5 collection box! I have built up quite a collection now, aided by these posts and am ready to try some less mainstream options.
Today I wore Paul Smith Rose which mingled with the Sensuous noir which wafted from a scarf I hadn’t worn since last year, so I was suitably fragrant as I tried to clear the snow from the paths and pavement.

@EvelynBeatrice I had that box! It's fantastic. I really loved the Floral Street Chypre Sublime 10ml spray. It reminds me of Portrait of a Lady. There's also the full Carine Roitfeld collection in there - all based on men she has known. George was lovely!

I've asked for a bottle of Fidji EDP from Fragrance Direct. You don't often see the EDP, only the EDT, so I pounced.

But yes longing for spring.
I struggle with finding spring scents that I love - like, yes, but not love.

Spring to me for now is the original Stella and Hermes Twilly.
I also quite like JM Nectarine and Apple Blossom but the PP dupe as has more longevity.
Any recs for a new Spring scent?

I really rate the avon lbd scents for spring/summer. I have the original lbd, lbd party, lbd weekend and lbd lace.
All really nice and under £10!
Longevity not hours and hours but I like to re spray in summer anyway :)

I wore 4160 Tuesdays fluffy lemon top a lot last summer too.

We don't do valentines day and I buy myself perfume all the time anyway:)

We don't do Valentine's Day gifts either! We do usually exchange cards but I haven't been in a "proper shop" to get one - just the wee Sainsbury's local for bits and bobs, otherwise groceries delivered. I might see if I can get to M&S tomorrow but it is so snowy here.

SOTD Lipstick Rose. Very nice but I feel a bit like my mum getting ready for a night out xD doesn’t go with my pjs

DP was stuck for a cheapy valentines present (we’re saving for a wedding and a house) so I told him to pick some perfume samples for me from Bloom. Curious to see what turns up!

SOTD NRFH. I love Lipstick Rose riotlady but for me it is definitely a proper spring-y scent. It is still bloody snowing here.

Checking in to the new thread

SOTD is M&S seasalt and freesia which is cheap and chips and doesn't last long at all. I've got a big old bottle and will do top ups in the day.

Giving my skin a rest as got an irritation from 4160 Brackenbury the other day.

I was thinking earlier that all my new haul are wintery or autumnal. I wrote down people's suggestions of sea salt scents from the last thread and maybe I will treat myself to a set of samples from 4160 to pick some summery scents.

Then I really must stop for a bit...

That post wasn't clear at all! I am giving my skin a rest from 'proper' perfume by switching to the M&S watery EDT for a few days. I love it, but doesn't last long at all.

Going to try again with a real perfume after tonight's shower but will wait til pores have closed up after as I think that's what stinging.

Razor I have some 4160 samples you can have. An order was delivered twice and they didn't want them back. I'll pm you.

Dh has gone for his Covid jab here. He’s in the over 65 group - a brilliant combo with the 3 teens.... all working at home in lockdown 🤯. And it’s my birthday. I’m looking forward to the Fidji arriving for my present.
Tk Maxx sent my bottle of Sublime Blossom this week in a black plastic bag. Absolutely no padding - just the box! They must recruit the brainless. I’m not unpacking it, until I return in a real store in case it’s damaged.

T k maxx packaging leaves a lot to be desired.
I should be cleaning.
Instead I'm listening to a lecture about Saladin and the 3rd crusade...
