Things that annoy me on S&B because

yes I'm in that type of mood today . . .

The main one is the often commented 'oh you can only wear that if you're tall and thin'.

I mean if you have the figure of a model it goes without saying surely you can pretty much wear anything.

But what are the rest of us meant to wear.

It may look best on someone tall and slim but that doesn't mean if you're not those things that you still can't look good.

Oh and it is allowed for people to spend £££ on clothes - just because some people don't it doesn't make those who do bad people.

And relax . . .

I am size 14, I figure I can look like a size 14 in dull clothes or look like a size 14 in stuff I want to wear.

Clearly there are limits but generally I wear what I want.

People who recommend Benefit stuff.

People who use touche eclat as a concealer. I am tempted to tell them to have a photo taken of themselves and view the panda effect that everyone else is seeing.

People who think if you are tall and thin you can wear anything. I still look like a knowbhead in lots of stuff. I can't wear anything too glittery as can look like a tranny.

The idea that people are shallow if they spend a lot of money and time on make up and clothes.

Oh yes "you want to spend HOW MUCH?? On a HANDBAG??? I could feed a family of 45 for a year on that!!"

Judgements about how much people spend on clothes and/or why they shop
Those who believe that running a brush through your hair, applying lippy and putting on a decent outfit to take the kids to school makes you a neglectful parent

Getorf that annoys me as well. Also annoys me that they have specifically come to the S&B topic, opened the handbag thread, and then taken the effort to post that we are shallow Hmm. I am sooo tempted to tell them that they obviously have nobler things to do no interest as they have made such an effort to avoid the topic.

Yes - I couldn't give a shit. If I want to squander on something for the simple reason it looks nice I don't want to be guilt tripped.

It's S&B. I am not going on AIBU saying 'AIBU to show off to the POVVOS my latest shopping purchase?'

I actually don't like the threads that make fun of whole swathes of people. Linen trousers, gladiator sandals, whatever the flavour of the day is. Really, there is no need to start a whole new thread to poke fun.

yy those people who now they are mothers are HIGHER BEINGS who think make up and smart clothes are for those who have less exalted shallow thoughts and should be thinking about reading schemes and sodium lauterh suphate.

Ooh frisky on S&B recently Grin

Anything to do with Boden.

By Terry - because I really can't convince myself that it's worth the cash but I really want to try it.

Linking to NAP. Just stop it. It's torture I tell ya, torture.

I don't do ch arity shops. I am not a rummager. I want nice clothes laid out for me in an uncrowded shop.

By Terry - it is worth the money, for the texture of the stuff alone. The under eye concealer (similar to touche eclat) is only £24 anyway.
