And so it continues. We still have one long-term prediction from the start of the last thread that has not yet come to pass - the burning down of Lower Loxley.

But there is still time...

Let's hope the fairbrothers die Heros dragging frilly from the building

Stickerrocks · 10/05/2016 09:44

Radio Times 14-20 May

More heartache is heaped on Pay, who's fretting that Helen could go into labour any day (blow - I've lost my own date in the sweepstake thread). Thinking back to Helen's breech birth, Pat beats herself up about the difficult start in life Helen had (not that her current situation is exactly a bed of roses).

Tom meanwhile insists that Bridge Farm needs to make changes if it is to stay afloat. Cue hostilities between Johnny & Tom that result in an awkward encounter at The Bull.

Eddie is ignoring Lynda's calls - she's sure her latest bout of hay fever is all his fault! And Jennifer and Brian are preparing to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary, despite her misgivings at a time when her brother's family is having it so tough.

15 May Helen has questions that need answering
16 May Peggy has made up her mind
17 May Pat is distracted and there is an awkward moment at the Bull
18 May Lillian and Jennifer are party planning
19 May Tom loses his rag and Brian is after Adam's approval
20 May Anna presses Helen for information

Gruach · 10/05/2016 10:55

Hah! If Lower Loxley were to burn down this week the event would be lucky to achieve an unconcerned comment from Jim and a shrug from Susan.

Delighted to see a new thread - wish there was a delightful (or even vaguely intelligent) programme to accompany it.

Vango · 10/05/2016 13:11

Checking in, with a sigh of relief! Thank you Bore.

Now about Peggy.

MrsArthurShappey · 10/05/2016 13:18

Checking in. Yes, Peggy...

Apparently tonight she is 'letting off steam' and the making up her mind next week. I'm mildly curious but still don't care.

AugustaFinkNottle · 10/05/2016 14:31

From tonight:
10 May: Peggy lets off steam, and Adam is not playing ball.
11: Josh turns on the charm, and Helen recounts a memory.
12: Brian wants to impress, and Lynda is in search of a remedy.
13: Peggy sets the record straight, and Ed and Emma think about their future.
15: Tom calls a family meeting, and Helen is full of questions.
16: Peggy has made up her mind, and Johnny helps out at Brookfield.
17: Pat is distracted, and there is an awkward moment at The Bull.
18: Lilian and Jennifer are party planning, and Eddie and Joe drum up trade.
19: Tom loses his rag, and Brian is after Adam's approval.
20: Anna presses Helen for information, and Toby launches a new venture.
22: Rob is having trouble getting through, and Ursula is pleasantly surprised.
23: Helen cannot relax, and Kirsty accepts an apology.
24: It is a big day at Home Farm, and Pip has a visitor.
25: Fallon and Kirsty get their heads together, and Jazzer digs his heels in.
26: Lilian and Jennifer go shopping, and Jolene has to think on her feet.
27: Helen is inspired, and Peggy makes an important observation.

Hmmm - Knob having trouble getting through - to the hospital when Helen is in labour? Arsula pleasantly surprised that all her forebodings about dreadful hospital births killing her grandchildren aren't realised?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 10/05/2016 18:45

Thanks for the new thread, Bore! I wish I could get more excited about it all. Sad

IggyPopsicle · 16/05/2016 05:33

I wonder what Helen is inspired about. I don't imagine its a new colour scheme for the kitchen at Blossom Hill..

glowfrog · 16/05/2016 09:14

Custard yellow is nice. Grin

EasyToEatTiger · 16/05/2016 10:07

Absolutely, glowfrogGrin With a nice bit of red splattered about. Maybe on the units.

glowfrog · 16/05/2016 10:25

Yes, for contrast! Also, some nice ornaments on the wall. Fish shapes are nice.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/05/2016 12:55

BoreOfWhabylon · 16/05/2016 13:05

"Rob makes himself useful" - he's going to open up the shop, isn't he?

OP posts:
Gumpendorf · 16/05/2016 13:05

Thanks Gasp. Rob making himself useful suggests it's still going to be frustratingly unlistenable.

Gumpendorf · 16/05/2016 13:07

"Rob makes himself useful" - he's going to open up the shop, isn't he?

I think you may be right ... Angry

mummytime · 16/05/2016 14:41

We're going to hear from Will finally! Archers

Gruach · 16/05/2016 14:54

More Rob? Archers < And I don't mean community spirit ...

AugustaFinkNottle · 16/05/2016 16:09

Pip having a visitor followed by it not taking much to rile her - is that Matthew giving her the elbow?

glowfrog · 16/05/2016 18:28

Kirsty accepts an apology - I wonder if it will be from Rob. She will accept it but not really - maybe she might figure if she can get "close" to Rob or whatnot, she might be able to glean some info useful to Helen.

AugustaFinkNottle · 16/05/2016 18:50

Well, it would be interesting if Rob acknowledged that Kirsty saved his life despite being, in his view, a terrible lezzer with evil and corrupting designs on his wife.

glowfrog · 16/05/2016 20:14

Mind you, maybe he wouldn't seek her out after telling that porkie to the police. Am sure this has been discussed already but do we think Rob might actually believe all the crap he comes out with?

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 17/05/2016 12:10

Fri 27 May Helen is inspired, and Peggy makes an important observation.

'I know Gran, I'll name him Miles!'; 'But look dear, he hasn't got a winkie. And a boy without a winkie is a girl....' (channelling Nursie for Blackadder II).

I am only lurking here because I cannot listen to it any more, it makes me too cross. Will happily listen to the conclusion of all this craziness, if it ever comes. Can anyone enlighten me whether anyone has thought of speaking to Jess yet? Did I miss that bit?

Stickerrocks · 17/05/2016 18:53

RT Ambridge Diary:

Having now been away from home for 7 weeks, Helen is in a tearful state. And Peggy only makes things worse when she tries to help Helen find resilience by reminding her of her Archer blood. Let's just say that her words of comfort backfire.

Kirsty & Fallon are plotting to talk some sense into Tom & Jazzer, whose rift shows no sign of healing. Convinced that male pride is keeping them apart, the 2 women try to make peace, but are Tom & Jazzer prepared to let sleeping pigs lie.

And the elves in the Millennium Wood inspire Kenton to order merchandise to sell over the bank holiday weekend, but Jolene is less than convinced by his plans.

BYOSnowman · 17/05/2016 18:57

How do Peggy's stirring words backfire?

This is all getting very odd
