Got 1 DD age 1, 2 MCs and now pregnant on my 19th week! X

doleritedinosaur · 21/01/2017 13:04

Thanks lynsey

MrsK8541 · 21/01/2017 13:14

Just checking in. Thank you for the new thread lynsey

LynseyH · 21/01/2017 13:23

Hope everyone is having a good weekend?
Congratulations dinner. Hope all is going smoothly for you so far.
I'm so uncomfortable now. Sleep isn't happening much and just so ready now! I bought a few more bits for baby this week so just washed them up, I don't think I could be anymore prepared now. 20 days till due date 😬
No need for any thanks, I just thought I'd jump in and get it done as last one was filling up and as I'm so close to baby arriving, someone else will have to take over...kinda like I did lol. I'm going to miss the thread but at least we have the Facebook page now too to stay in touch beyond this point.
Amazing to see the babies starting to arrive safely Smile

Checking in! Thanks jpeg I'm trying to take each day as it comes! Hello everyone Smile

jpeg28 · 21/01/2017 14:48

Thanks lynsey for setting up thread for the last time!!

I've just been to town and bought some lovely storage baskets for the nursery while OH is decorating nursery! Also Aldi have sensitive baby wipes... 4 packs for £1.99!! I could only carry one lot but wish I had got more for that price!!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 21/01/2017 16:29

It's Aldi's baby event at the moment isn't it? I really wnat to go and buy all the things (particularly the highchair) but OH is telling me no. I'm just shy of 12 wks so it is silly to buy stuff now as there is so long for things to go wrong. Roll on scan on Thursday.

Gingerbreadmam · 21/01/2017 16:53

Thanks lyns for the new thread.

doleritedinosaur · 21/01/2017 17:08

jpeg they do 12 packs for £5.99 I think it's 12, might be more. It's a box at the baby event. I get 5 at a time & they just about last until the next one.

imgonna there'll be at least another 2 before you give birth, they're every 3 months pretty much plus anything that doesn't sell gets reduced which is usually the muslins & baby clothes. & ive seen the high chairs get reduced.

Not long now lynsey & yep the Facebook group is lovely.

Been doing housework all day with one nap to keep busy. Back ache & tightenings are still on going. Also baby is now on left side so I hope they haven't flipped & it's just their bum low in my side. My cat will also not leave me alone.
Does anyone know if this means I'll go earlier than 37 weeks? There's nothing to warrant calling midwives yet.

DS patted my belly & said baby again earlier so think he's come around to the idea.

Hope everyone had a good day, waiting for DS's bedtime then going to see how much energy I have to do more housework/house stuff.

MoonlightMojitos · 21/01/2017 17:37

Thanks for the new thread lynsey!

Congrats whatser!!+! Beautiful girl and beautiful name too 😁. And sounds like a great labour with everything happening so quickly (apart from the cord). Well done you!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Just back from my friends baby shower which was actually really nice! I was dreading any cringy games but it wasn't too bad and so nice to see people and talk babies irl for a bit as I don't have any pregnant friends or who've already had babies (except the one who's due soon whos party it was!) There were another 3 pregnant people there with about 5 weeks between each of us so that was nice! I also popped in to aldi today and got a few blankets and packs of muslins, cheapest I've seen anywhere so well worth it.

jpeg28 · 21/01/2017 17:56

They had run out of those dolerite... but even so I couldn't bring them home. We have an Aldi with no car park near us!! So I always walk there. Might go back one evening after work to see if they have restocked! Sounds like you have had a very busy day! How many weeks are you now??

LuckyinOctober · 21/01/2017 18:31

Congrats whatser, Willow is a lovely name for a lovely baby and your story is a great example of how following your intuition is protective for you and your little one.

Good luck for the birth butterfly!

Thanks for posting the facebook link lynsey I'll check that out too.

purple you were asking about how movements change in later pregnancy, I think what I've found is that my baby's have got less complex, since she used to turn herself around a few times a day and now she's tight for space she has to just wriggle and nudge. She can still move whole limbs though which means I feel the body part with my hand sticking out of my stomach whenever she does. One bonus is I can feel more confident now of what part is where. She does still move with the same frequency in response to the same triggers as earlier on in pregnancy, it's just the quality of the movements themselves is different.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 21/01/2017 18:36

Thanks dolerite. I like their muslins, they were the best ones we had for DD and the vests and sleepsuits are nice and roomy round the bum which is great for cloth bums.
Well done on all the housework! No idea if you'll go early sorry. My cat ised to love sitting on my bump with DD but would get most affronted when she got kicked. The risk you run kitty!

Sounds likw a lovely shower moonlight and nice to have a few of you due so close together.
My good friend is due next week, am excited for her (obviously) just a little sad as last MC would have been due less than a month after and it would have been so nice to have our second ones close together. Ah well, here's just hoping for healthy births all round.

INeedNewShoes · 21/01/2017 18:41

Thanks for setting up the new thread Lynsey Smile

I was back at the hospital for an appointment with a fetal medicine consultant today to check the amniotic fluid again. The level is still the same but she said it really isn't a cause for concern - it's slightly low but might just be my 'normal'. She checked blood flow and the baby's kidneys etc. and all is well. Such a relief!

Alb1 · 21/01/2017 19:07

Glad you got good news at the appointment ineed are they going to continue keeping a close eye on the baby or are they happy now?

Just checking in, nothing much to report here, just really busy at work thanks to the fact I keep accidently hiring unreliable flakey staff so keep having to work their shifts, good staff are so hard to find!

INeedNewShoes · 21/01/2017 19:21

Thanks Alb - consultant said that there's no need for extra monitoring so that's reassuring. Because my pregnancy was already considered high risk (blood disorders) I'm being scanned/seen by a consultant at 28 weeks anyway which is mid-February.

Gingerbreadmam · 21/01/2017 19:30

Great news ineed

For those after aldi stuff im sure you can order.offline if its more convenient for you?

Im still hanging on here. Slight spotting talking 2 or 3 spots a day and the tiniest of brown clots (if you can call them that, theyre more like threads / sometimes discharge when i wipe. No cramps though and a week since it started. The not knowing is hard i must say.

purple if things feel different and you are concerned certainly pop in to get monitored. Often see on these threads they are more than happy to see people and give reassurance.

A lot of women at my sands group went once a week for monitoring im their next pregnancies with no problems at all.

MoonlightMojitos · 21/01/2017 19:37

doomsong I know how you feel. The friend who is due in 6 weeks who's party it was actually had the exact same due date I did with my mc. I just try to be happy that at least I am pregnant again now and so lucky that it didn't take us long to conceive again.

Fantastic news newshoes. So glad to hear they're not worried about the levels and checked over baby.

Sah1987 · 21/01/2017 20:09

Place marking

I'm waiting for the Aldi event in April as I want bits but am only 22+2 so think I'll be ok to wait xx

Popcorn1979 · 21/01/2017 20:34

Hi all! Think there are a few of us from the September 2017 thread but I think I feel a bit more comfortable here. No sure I can handle conversations about babies sex, birth plans etc - just focussing on getting through next few weeks!

I have two ds (4 and 2) and had a mmc (11 weeks) in between them and 2 mc since (7 and 6 weeks). Currently approx 6+3 and terrified! Had brown spotting for last 7 days - not much and not getting worse yet but also no signs of stopping. Have booked a scan for Tuesday so need to be patient until then! I didn't have a period between last miscarriage and this pregnancy so not sure if that is why I am spotting?

Lovely hearing about people further on and even babies arriving! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

Gingerbreadmam · 21/01/2017 21:04

Hey popcorn im a september 2017'er.

I agree, all the talk of symptoms, twins, boys or girls is adding to my anxiety. I had a small bleed last sat / sun which tailed off to spotting which is still ongoing.

Have you spoken to epu or gp? I rang epu last week who have booked me in for a scan at 8 weeks as they said thats the earliest they would see someone as they will get a clearer pic then.

Im sat planning what to do in the event of an mmc so its difficult seeing all the others planning so far ahead although obvs i am.just envious of that feeling

Ginger i remember you from my single post on that thread! I truly hope you get good news as you have had a tough time.

I called EPU when it started but they said they wouldn't see me unless the blood was red - despite my history. Hence why I am going for an early private scan which I really wanted to avoid as if it is the news I fear, I just wanted to be in the system rather than having to go get rescanned at EPU to confirm and start that process.

A week of fear every time I go to the loo is seriously taking it out of me!!

Gingerbreadmam · 21/01/2017 21:36

Tbh after all i've been through im quite blase about it. In a sense i feel like i deserve for this to be good news but on the other hand i think if its bad ill go in for erpc then try again. Very logical. I guess that is helping.

That's rubbish. Sometimes it is wortha few calls as you can get someone more sympathetic. The first person i spoke to last week wasnt very good but the second person who booked the scan was brilliant and really sympathetic and optimistic.

Im keeping everything crossed for you. How far gone will u be at scan? Hows the symptoms?
