Well done on still hiding bump knorrig!
Mine is pretty obvious now and am 6 weeks behind you.
Pretty sure everyine in work knows, there have been a few comments today that made me think the person was trying to find out if I am pregnant or not. But then I don't know if I'm just being suspicious haha.

Well......scan confirmed viable pregnancy. However there is more than one baby.... there are 3!!!!! Not an outcome we had even contemplated and a much more complex pregnancy journey with difficult choices.

Wow Grain! That's epic! I can see how that might have been a bit of a surprise! Grin. Did they say everything is looking healthy for now?

Alb I'm so glad that today was better news. As others have said it's good that they've caught it early and can medicate.

We've finally moved DD in to her big girl room tonight. We've had it on hold for months but the weekend before I got my bfp I thought sod it and started decorating. Feels like another step forward even if I'm reluctant to feel like we really could have our second dc on the way.

That's amazing grain!!! Hopefully it will all work out and they will keep a very close eye on you.

Am I right to think you had bleeding grain? Was this the first scan?

36 weeks today and finished work. I might have posted that earlier!

Report
grainmum · 03/03/2017 19:58

Yes I did have some bleeding last week, no news about that now. This was the first scan. alb really pleased you got some better news

So pleased you got better news today alb. Knowledge is power. grain that must have been a shock! What will happen now? Will they be keeping a close eye on you? purple you are on mat leave! That must feel strange!

knorrig · 03/03/2017 20:45

Wow grain!!!!! How do you feel?

This pregnancy started as twins for me and I was shocked (early scan at 7 weeks) but sadly no 2 didn't make it. The good thing is you'll be given extra care and checks.

Oh wow grain, 3! That's awesome. Fingers crossed they all stay sticky.
You might need to grow another arm in the meantime!

Feeling very strange to be on Mat leave but also happy that I can rest and get the house in order now! Want to go through everything in the house and clear out / begin packing for the move in june! Lots to be doing.

Sounds like a good plan purple, that'll be the nesting setting in. I had a whole month off before DD arrived (lazy little thing) and really enjoyed getting things sorted, and the odd few several days lying on the sofa.

Just catching up.. alb good news although I can see how it must feel like lightening striking twice.. Good that they sound positive about it.
smurf rooting for you and hoping you manage a quiet weekend to look after yourself and Monday brings good news.
grain 3!!! Wow!! Sending those sticky vibes!!
Sorry if I have missed anyone..
Had my 20 week scan today and I appear to have a ninja baby. 5 times of bum in air and hip shaking to get the little ninja to shift into another position!
Anterior placenta again, but I'm starting to feel little kicks and rolls, so am.starting to mainly relax now. Not sure how long for!
20+2 and non existent bladder Hmm

Alb - pleased to hear you've had better news than you feared might be the case. It sounds as though your hospital have got the situation in hand.

Grain - three! I can imagine this must have been quite a shock. Congratulations Smile How many weeks are you?

Knorrig - I spoke to my midwife on the phone and it's nothing to worry about. Apparently it's fairly normal to have some colour change in the skin around your belly button. Mine looks like yellow bruising. What with that and the bruises from my heparin injections, my stomach and thighs look a horrendous patchwork of black, blue, purple and now yellow too!

Sorry missed your news abe, glad it wasn't as bad as originally feared and it does sound like they will keep a very close eye on you now.

Mrsalan that's great news 😀 are you feeling a bit more positive now?

Since yesterday my pelvic bones are in agony. I hope it's just because I slept funny the other night rather than being SPD?? I can't get comfy at all. It's like the pelvic bones my hips and bum.

Hi all hope you're all ok...

Grain triple congrats, I bet that was such a shock seeing 3 babies!

My dr called me yesterday as he wanted to see me. Went to the surgery. He had seen on my notes that I'm pregnant and hadn't contacted him. He insisted that I go for a scan asap at the epau. I told him I didn't really want a scan this early on as I feel like it jinxes me. I said I'd booked a private one for 10+5 but he was adamant he wanted them to check the pregnancy was in the right place. Having a septum in my womb means part of it had inadequate blood supply, my csection scar also posses a risk as it could implant there which he said was the possible cause of my last mc with out rupture. Sonhe convinced me and made me an appointment for Wednesday at 1.20.

Not anxious about it too much at the min but I really don't want to go. Dh and mum are coming with me. Mum for both our support, dh's mum is really rubbish.

Symptom wise, not much still. Sore boobs, greasy hair and skin, felt like I wanted to puke yesterday but nothing today and really exhausted. Had a bit of a nagging pressure/pain in my right ovary region, think it's gas but don't know. 7 weeks tomorrow, wishing this first trimester away.

Long post 😣

Aw Amy. The scan will hopefully give you some reassurance and it's defo a good idea to see it's in the correct place. Not toooo long until Wednesday. Just think that if you really really don't want it, you can phone and cancel. But I think going for it would be better really xx

Hi all,

Been lurking on the thread over the last few days, been feeling horrible. Nausea and sickness feels like its not going away and its constantly there :( Nothing seems to be helping either! I even tried lucozade ginger
I've had loads of food aversions too which is so weird for me. Im usually a tea addict and have not been able to go near the stuff for the last 2 and a half weeks.
Congratulations to all those who had positive scans.
I have my first midwife appointment a week on Monday. Im not sure what to expect? I didn't have one with my previous pregnancy (that ended at 6 weeks) so I'm a bit clueless.

cookie is it worth seeing your gp? im sure they can prescribe something.

the midwife appointment is very boring. they will taje a wee sample, blood samples, blood pressure, weigh you, measure your height then ask you lots of questions about your health, relationship and family health. it is quite a long appoibtment with lots of ticky boxes.

AmyB1986 · 04/03/2017 19:28

Purple I'm not sure on the reassurance as my last mc happened just before the 10 week mark. Think it will just make me worry even more. I'm going to go as I really don't fancy facing my gp if I've not been!

Cookie I second what ginger said. I had severe sickness in my viable pregnancies and the dr gave me a safe anti sickness drug, made my mouth dry but it worked and I felt much better. The mw appointment is boring, just booking you in basically. They arrange your dating scan too.

Feeling queasy at the min. Seem to be getting more evening sickness than morning! Feel like I've been run over by several trucks when I get up in the am. All day sickness kicks in between 7-8 weeks with me. Waiting dreading it 😭

Thanks purple - yes I suppose I am a bit!
That does sound a lot like spd. I had it earlier and earlier with the last 4, but now it's not so bad (fingers crossed), although my hips and pelvis do clunk if turning over etc.
Are you sleeping with a pillow between your knees and one wedged at your back? That does help. Also, ask your midwife for physio referral- support bands saved me before. I forget how many weeks you are, but the earlier you get help, the better Smile

OMG grain triplets?! That's amazing, congratulations!! Do multiples run in your family?

alb so pleased you didn't get the bad news you were fearing

13 weeks bang on here, told some work colleagues but second what knorrig said, it's difficult unless it comes up in conversation.. told my parents yesterday and sister popped in too so she knows as well. Everyone's very excited. Going to send DS into dad's 70th birthday gathering in a couple of weeks in a "big brother" t-shirt and see how long it takes the rest of the family to notice!Smile
