Glad you're having a good time Letus Smile
Today I've done the food shopping, worked, recycled, cleared the bathroom sink drain (?), changed the bed, handwashed some stuff. Chilling on the couch with a glass of wine watching Midsomer Murders Smile

Watching *Oxford Street Revealed^ and a bunch of ice sculptors from Jukkasjärvi in Sweden are renewing the decor in the Ice Bar. Even the ice itself is a special kind of ice from Torne River, apparently that's the best ice. Awesome Grin

Had much food.

Just seen a trailer for a programme called Big Cats. Lots of domestic cats in it too by the looks of it.

Grin at the best ice. But of course!

HOMEWORK CRISIS - Does anyone have an idiot-proof Easter Hat "recipe" that I could manage and looks vaguely good? Ds has this big easter hat parade on thurs at school and they all have to make their own hats. I am the least crafty person on the planet. I've had a quick look on internet but cant find anything that good. Ta muchly... Flowers

I liked the sheep one and the carrot ones that I saw. But I didn't save them. give me a mo.....

Or you could do an aussie hat with mini-eggs (sellotaped to thread and sewn into brim of hat)?

At least the shops are all full of easter tat now... DS had his easter bonnet competition at school ridicolously early and I couldn#t fins any easter tat - was a bti of a nightmare since it was right after we were back for les vacances and not in the least prepared for making hats Confused

Ah see now I was following your post fine till I reached the word "sewn" and I'm afraid I just didn't recognise it.

I like the sheep one. Looks difficult though. Hmm

Sheep - ignore green stuff, get cotton wool balls and some glue; get black baber and googly eyes from shop and cut out sheeps head - glue to cotton wool. Paint rin of hat green if you're that keen...

'Sewn' - stick thread in needle ; stick needle through brim of hat. tie knot at top. Tape other end of thread to mini-egg.

Well, we have had a bit of a week. Rain like I've never seen (and I'm from South Wales where it really rains exceptionally hard at times), and we've been stranded by floods. So luckily not us flooded - we are on elevated side of street so our house is fine but the other side totally flooded and cars have been flooded up to window line. Power has been on and off. so we've basically just been helping some of the neighbours try and sort stuff out and waiting to drain. I'm slightly scared of the floodwaters after the news reports of why you shouldn't wade in, and also that a few (000km) up the road there was a Bull Shark stranded in the floodwater. Erm. I'll just stay inside.

Tragically nice neighbour who hacks BBC's living room wrecked including the black electric box thing which they tape stuff for me on!!!!' The horror.

Boys have enjoyed school being shut and we've had a bit of blitz spirit as flooded neighbour has moved in with us till they get sorted.

I've been highly unimpressed that Mr C left me in a bloody cyclone to go off having a ball in NZ. Grrrrrrr. He's back on Tuesday and will pay for his crimes.

Thread not loading well as have no wifi so haven't read just hope this posts. Hope to be back on utilities properly tomorrow.

Love you all

Shock comtesse!

Glad you're all ok but Sad for your neighbours. Blitz spirit is always good eh. Grin Hope all is back to normal soon esp. your neighbour's magic black tellybox.

Ty helen we've bought the ingredients for a Shaun the Sheep hat. But they only had girly googly eyes with eyelashes on, so obvs that is not ideal. Hmm
