Morning all. Sorry for the late start to the thread, but I slept in. Then hungry cats had to be fed before I could deal with this!

Anyway here's the spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

Hopefully all good news to report - but never fear, if last week hasn't been great, you still have a few days left to sort that.

Looks like it's going to be a more settled week weather-wise, and hopefully we really will be seeing more and more signs of spring to cheer us all up.

Here's to a great last week Flowers

Morning! Thanks BIWI Thanks

Up a pound and a half here: and I know exactly why. Mother's Day, a family birthday and EMOTIONS led to an epic Cathy Twat Attack.

I'm going to follow strict boot camp until Friday, & I'll be happy if I get that pound and a half off by next week.

Thanks to Greebo.

It really helped to see other people sliding a bit. I tend to be very hard on myself, which ultimately sabotages me, but I feel I can climb back on & be ok.

Thanks to all of you. 💪

Morning thanks BIWI fir the thread I can’t believe it’s week 10 .

2lbs down for me which I am very happy with. My milestone this week is that is now 40lbs gone - hopefully forever !

Still need to work on my water and FLGV intake so I am going to major on that this week.

Repeating my post from the last thread (it's just so important):

I’ve put last week’s lowest weight on the spreadsheet, as I weighed 4 whole pounds more than yesterday this morning which would have meant a gain, and I don’t deserve one! I’m ovulating which always bloats me. I suspect the week as a whole possibly didn't merit a 2lb loss but the truth lies somewhere in between!

Cathy twat! Grin

Good morning everyone! I forgot to weigh so I’ll weigh tomorrow.

🌸🌼🌺 Hope you all have a great day and positive numbers (or should it be negative, really?) on the scales.

Spring has sprung here and we had an absolutely lovely weekend enjoying the sunshine so I’m feeling very happy today!

Do Wagamama sell anything Bootcamp friendly? I'm meeting a friend for lunch and she wants to get takeaway from Wagamama. Would it be really bad to ask for ramen without the noodles?

I’m 1lb down which is a bloody miracle given my stumble off the wagon on Thursday and it’s week 3 for me. I’ll take it though and keep on track this week.

Well done @Midlifemission 40lb is a fantastic loss.

Report
Ninkanink · 22/03/2021 09:25

@stuntnun I like their squid starter/side! Ok it might have a very light dusting of flour but that’s not so bad is it? There’ll be veg starters/sides too. Otherwise I’m sure they’ll be able to give you ramen without the noodles, or they might even have some dishes without.

Report
BIWI · 22/03/2021 09:32

Ouch @StuntNun, their menu is really not great for low carbing!

If they won't do a ramen without the noodles (which they may), then probably the best bet is to order from the side dishes - I'd go for chicken yakitori and wok-fried greens.

Their website does, very helpfully, give a full nutritional breakdown of every dish, and if you ordered those two, it would come to 18.72g carbs.

Didn't have a very good weekend. Too many snacks, even if they were low carb ones Sad

1lb off here , I’ve done the maths wrongly on the spread sheet , I know I started at 12-03 and I’m down to 11-10 , so half a stone down in total
I just need one more pound off and I’m back at the end of the pre Christmas Bootcamp
Went to the beach yesterday for a long walk , plenty of room for social distancing

0.6lb off here... I’m not eating the wrong things, just eating the right ones in the wrong proportions. So for the final week I am making a push to be good: eating much more veg, only snacking if actually hungry, drinking much more water.

Morning all, thanks for the flowers @MilesJuppIsMyBitch - great username!

Well, as it turns out I can't update the spreadsheet even if I wanted to, as my scales have completely given up the ghost. But I'd already decided to stick around for the last week's chat but not update the spreadsheet, as part of my commitment to KOKO but focus on health and fitness rather than the numbers on the scales.

As part of that I went for a brisk walk after drop off this morning, which was lovely, chilly but very bright and sunny. And I made a version of this casserole yesterday - used shallots instead of onions and left out the peas - and it was surprisingly tasty.

www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spring-chicken-pot

Enough leftover for another meal for one too!

Someone on the previous thread (was it you ShagMe?) said that even though they've been IF for a while, occasionally they still wake up feeling starving, so on those days, guess what, they have breakfast! I've decided to do the same. Most days I'm actually not especially hungry, and water and a black coffee is fine for me till lunch. But on the days when I wake up hungry, "forcing" myself to fast till lunchtime feels like a punishment, and leaves me feeling angry and resentful - at myself! So I'm not going to do it anymore, and will eat if I'm hungry.

I know that doesn't sound exactly revolutionary, but I had reached a point mentally where I felt I had to punish myself every time I put on a pound, which isn't a very healthy attitude.

Not sure what we'll eat today. Salmon for dinner, possibly.

Cathy Twat gets such a bad rap on here Grin

I can't believe it's week 10! That means only one more week until I weigh myself for the first time. Although I'm not looking forward to it, I know that I've lost a lot on this BC (I've followed strict throughout other than two glasses of red and the beef madras ready meal and- quite remarkably-I've had all the water every day). That means that whatever the number is, it's going to be a lot better than it otherwise would have been Grin That said, AF is due at the weekend, so that might have a bearing Angry

Intuitively, I'm thinking around the 11 mark, which is a couple of stones over where I'm usually happiest. I'll koko until the end of next BC at least with a view to at least seeing the 9s by the time we're all out.

One final push!!

Flipping heck Sad - after my initial week 1 woosh (which I am increasingly thinking was actually a false initial scales reading) I have been hovering around the same number every week so haven't lost anything.

I've only just introduced strawberries and am still pretty much on the strict rules apart from a mini dark choc bar Fri and Sat night.

I am drowning in water, black tea and herbal tea. At least 3L of plain water plus approx 8 cups of decaf tea / herbal.

It MUST be portion size. I am obviously no good at working out what 'satiated' means but that means I'm going to head into 'feeling deprived' in order to lose weight which I know goes against this WOE.

I will KOKO as I do believe you all (!) I'm just getting annoyed that I seem to be going absolutely no where.

I think any realisation about food, and the habits we get into around eating, and the random rules we impose on ourselves that actually aren’t helpful are revolutionary @GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal - if we knew how we worked we’d have done it already.

@FusionChefGeoff what does it look like if you average that initial loss over the weeks? Am I right in thinking you’re very early on in this way of eating?

Morning everyone, 1.4lbs for me, so not the largest but still a move in the right direction. Trying to concentrate on small targets as even my initial target seems a long way off at this rate.
Just wanted to say congrats to @Ouchmyfeet on your big loss this week, you're just above me in the spreadsheet so I noticed yours, you must be really pleased.

venusandmars · 22/03/2021 10:26

I'm 0.8 down this week. I've been lower (on Friday) but also higher (yesterday), so I'm going to go with what the scales say today.

I cooked a chicken yesterday and boiled up the carcass for stock. I've just made a lovely velvety spinach soup. So for breakfast I had a bowl of that with a swirl of cream and a dusting of grated nutmeg. Lovely!

B - spinach soup
L - chicken, with salad, mayonnaise and crispy chicken skin
D - vegetable curry
