Just that really. We are thinking about starting a family but want to know what you miss most about pre-parenthood??

Watching a film the whole way through without having to pause it eleventy billion times

Paddybare · 30/04/2017 15:55

The ability to be spontaneous- 'let's go out for dinner tonight' / 'let's have a weekend away'

You really don't realise how much you take that for granted pre-kids.

insideoutoutsidein · 30/04/2017 15:55

Doing whatever I want, whenever I want.
Leaving the house as soon as I'm ready not having to worry about whether DD is going to get into the car seat without a fuss.
Saying that, she has made our lives a hundred times better though, so wouldn't change it.

Bellatrixandstrange · 30/04/2017 15:55

Sleep, having something to talk about that isn't DC, holidays, freedom, my pain free body, time, a clean house...the list goes on. Why?

glitterglitters · 30/04/2017 15:56

Sleep

Biffsboys · 30/04/2017 15:57

Spontaneity.

Expensive holidays.

Trips to restaurants/theatres/cinema whenever I wanted.

Leaving the house with a tiny bag.

Nice things in the house with no sticky handprints.

More disposable income (£800/month nursery fees!)

Lie ins and late nights.

Only having to think of myself (and DH) selfishly.

Pre-baby figure. (Can't believe I ever thought I was fat before)

So much less stress.

And yet... how your heart grows Smile

Bellaposy · 30/04/2017 15:59

Lying in. Eating out. Spontaneous sex.

Jemimapuddleduk · 30/04/2017 16:00

Have a lie in and breakfast in bed. Day time sex.

elliejjtiny · 30/04/2017 16:02

Sleep, being able to leave the house spontaneously, a relatively tidy house.

lifesjoys · 30/04/2017 16:03

My freedom!

Hedgeh0g · 30/04/2017 16:03

Sleep.

silkybear · 30/04/2017 16:04

Getting home from work to flop on the sofa with a cuppa and the tv on, winding down. Now its excited toddler wants attention then dinner bath bed routine, 8pm before i sit down then bed for me at 9 as im pregnant and tired constantly. I relish her smiley face greeting me though!

stargirl1701 · 30/04/2017 16:04

Sleep.

Dizzywizz · 30/04/2017 16:04

Sleep, having a lie in. Getting wasted and knowing you can have the next day to recover.

Want2bSupermum · 30/04/2017 16:05

Sleep, quiet time, getting laundry done over 3 loads a week, having nice clothes and keeping our home tidy with minimal effort.

Comealongpond89 · 30/04/2017 16:05

Lie ins

Spontaneous outings.

We've just had to book our babysitters for 9th December for a Christmas party.

Being able to go out for dinner and the cinema midweek.

Lie ins. Although neither of mine surface before 7 so I'm not too bad.

GuinessPunch · 30/04/2017 16:07

Not having to rush with everything..
Eating/toilet/getting ready/showered

Oh and sleep.

andpropersteel · 30/04/2017 16:08

Sleep.

Having a poo alone. Grin
