The lady we know and love, who has brought us 30 Days Of Yoga, is starting a new series of sessions on YouTube from 1 January called .

This just might be the incentive I've been waiting for to establish a daily practice. Does anyone want to join me? Smile

Day 16 done. I have PMT and I've got a really busy week this week, so really grateful for a short practice!! Also, suddenly twigged that threading the needle pose would be a lot more comfortable if I slipped my glasses off before turning my head and placing it on the mat - can't believe it's taken me this long to figure that one out (doh)!

quirkychick · 18/01/2016 11:24

Have just done day 13, slow and gentle but I could still feel the muscles afterwards. There seems to be more slow days in Yoga Camp than the 30 days, the sessions are generally longer too.

Throughout the 30 days, I needed a wrist strap for support, but I haven't used one at all for the Yoga Camp, my wrist must be really strengthening!

Magical and RubberDuck my cramps often feel better after some yoga too. I think I must have pmt too, I was very grumpy/cross with the dcs yesterday (particularly the younger monkey) and really lost it when my laptop refused to switch on this morning.

Day 17 done. I think this is the first one I've done in the day, I'm usually a nightime yogi. Anyway, all about the breathing, feeling slightly trippy now.

It's half an hour and after the last couple of catch-up days doing two and three sessions in a block, I finished today with a "that's it?" feeling.

opioneers · 18/01/2016 14:49

Day 16 done here, and I did manage the lunge a bit better, at least on my left side. I can't for the life of me work out what my actual problem is (perhaps tight hips or something) but it's improving, which is the main thing.

MagicalHamSandwich · 18/01/2016 21:00

Day 17 done! I definitely also got the 'was this it?' feeling. I did enjoy the breath work, though. Still wondering while everyone else on this planet seems to be such a fast breather, though. Confused

MagicalHamSandwich · 18/01/2016 21:00

Well done on improving the lunge situation, btw.

Expellibramus · 18/01/2016 23:38

Only on day 12 here!

RubberDuck · 19/01/2016 08:06

Day 17 done - I really enjoyed this one, but then I like the more meditative aspects of yoga (I came into yoga via meditation, rather than the other way around). Didn't manage the special breath which I can't spell (ujayi?) but slowing the breathing down with the movement did feel really nice.

Well done on Day 12 Expellibramus! You're doing great :)

CoteDAzur · 19/01/2016 14:48

I'm skipping Adriene's class today because did a challenging Vinyasa class at the studio this morning. Ouch! I managed a 2-second crow and an OK-ish wheel Smile

Yay, cote!

I have no idea whether my wheel is anywhere near okay. It's the one pose I have difficulty checking in a mirror and I've yet to be told I'm doing it either right or wrong by any instructor. They tend to focus on the folk who don't manage in the first place.

Crow is a mental issue for me. I've got the strength for it but tend to fail on account that I'm way to scared to shift my weight as far forward as I should for it to work. Goes well when I overcome my fear every once in a while.

Today's mail suggests hamstrings and forward bends. This should be right down my lane.

quirkychick · 19/01/2016 16:18

Going to bow out today, as I have a twingy ankle and knee. I think it's from the park on Sunday which managed to br both icy and very muddy at the same time. Will resume tomorrow.

Day 13, nice restful one today :)

MagicalHamSandwich · 19/01/2016 18:39

I'm off to do today's practice. Hoping this will be slightly sweaty and/or require my full attention. I'm just out of work after yet another 12-hour day and feeling crap and weepy ... I really want to be five again and cry on my mum's lap. Failing that I could totally use something that makes me feel better ... If the yoga doesn't work I'll hit the gin bottle on my kitchen shelf!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 19/01/2016 20:39

Just did day 16 after a long day at work. Really appreciating having this time to just focus on yoga and switch off everything else.

Legs were feeling a bit knackered in Warrior One as I've done a fair bit of cycling recently.

RubberDuck · 20/01/2016 08:16

Day 18 done - freezing downstairs today so not an enjoyable yoga session (never fun stretching out when you're cold). Still, I did it. Tick.

Talisin · 20/01/2016 08:42

Didn't manage 18 last night as I fell asleep on the sofa about15 mins after arriving home, woke up just in time to go to bed & slept through my alarm. Anyway it'll be a double session again tonight but I have the place to myself for once so will do early evening with any luck.

Magical I have exactly the same issue with the breathing. Teacher says take a nice slow deep breath in and I'm still half way through inhaling when they say to exhale. And vice versa.

CoteDAzur · 20/01/2016 08:48

Magical - I hope the yoga or the gin or both helped last night Smile

I've been trying to figure out how to check myself in wheel, as well. I might have to take a picture. Our studio doesn't have any mirrors on walls, unfortunately.

Re crow - For a long time, I did a starter version where toes still touch the floor. Little by little, you put more of your weight onto your hands until the toes don't need to touch the floor anymore. That's where I am now - toes come off the floor for 1-2 sec at a time.

Hello,

I have been managing to keep up with the yoga but not the thread.

Well done with the wheel Cote.

I started a new class yesterday and did my first (supported) headstand! Had a little practise at home this morning too.

I'm so sore today. Was very grateful for Adrienne to help me stretch it out a bit this morning.

quirkychick · 20/01/2016 10:36

Managed day 14 with a strapped up knee and some very modified lunges, as well as skipping cross-legged and kneeling parts. Glad to be back in as yoga does make me feel so much better!

opioneers · 20/01/2016 11:30

How much work is day 18? I have a cold and am not sure I can face too much 'heat' Smile

RubberDuck · 20/01/2016 13:20

Day 18 isn't much work but there's a lot of forward folds which might put undue pressure on sinuses/head if you're really blocked up with cold.

cece · 20/01/2016 14:20

I am soooo behind. Just done Day 9. Was going to do Day 10 too but not enough time before school run as it's a long one! Maybe later.

cece · 20/01/2016 14:21

Oh and forgot to say; I managed to do my first ever (well since I have been an adult) headstand. Feeling chuffed.

opioneers · 20/01/2016 14:48

Thank you! I did manage it with the occasional coming up for breath, but still feels better to have done it than not.
