The lady we know and love, who has brought us 30 Days Of Yoga, is starting a new series of sessions on YouTube from 1 January called .

This just might be the incentive I've been waiting for to establish a daily practice. Does anyone want to join me? Smile

Day 6 completed. I could feel double chins shaking in some of the ab exercises, the shame Grin

quirkychick · 10/01/2016 08:35

Day 7. Ooh, hips/hamstrings are tight in wide-legged pose. Rather wobbly in tree too.

I always feel better afterwards, though. I can definitely see my abs tightening up with all the yoga. It might be muscle memory, as I did the 30 days before Christmas and then stopped. Grin

RubberDuck · 10/01/2016 11:20

Day 8 - thank goodness for a restorative one!! Was just what I needed :)

quirkychick · 10/01/2016 15:20

Oh, I will look forward to Day 8 tomorrow!

Expellibramus · 10/01/2016 17:52

Day 7 done :)

RhinestoneCowgirl · 10/01/2016 18:01

Day 8 was lovely this morning Smile

And today I have made a bag for my yoga mat from an off cut of curtain fabric.

cece · 10/01/2016 18:29

Day 5 done- twice...

Accidently clicked on 30 days of yoga day 5 so did that one first. Then realised my mistake and did yogacamp day 5...

Bit of a shame really as I was going to do day 6 as well but then I ran out of time.

Day 6 done, I'll definitely be going back to that one.

MagicalHamSandwich · 10/01/2016 22:12

Day 9 done. I enjoyed this one a lot because I love the warrior poses!

On a slightly more worrying note, my weight is down to 7.5 stone (at a height of 6'5.5'' - that puts me at a BMI of under 17). This might not just be the extra yoga but also the fact that I've had a very stressful two months or so at work and have moved house at the same time. I look fine to myself. I have visible muscle tone and my face doesn't look sunk in to me. That having been said, these things are hard to judge on yourself IME since you see yourself in the mirror all the time. On a rational level I'm very aware that I'm underweight to an arguably unhealthy extent. Not quite sure what to do about it as I feel like I'm eating all the time ... Sad

cece · 10/01/2016 22:26

Might be worth going to see your GP - that does sound very low weight for your height.

thegiddylimit · 10/01/2016 22:47

Yes, see your GP but if you are that underweight try and eat a healthy diet with lots of healthy fats like full fat milk, cheese, full fat yoghurt, avocado, peanut butter. Don't just eat cake and chocolate to up calories. Eat little and often if you feel full quickly.

Just done day 2 and feel very relaxed now. Goodnight!

CoteDAzur · 10/01/2016 22:50

Losing weight while "eating all the time" could be something simple to solve like parasites or worms. I agree, it would be a good idea to see your GP.

Days 7, 9 & 8 (in that order) done. Trying to get the living room to myself before midnight has been impossible for the last couple of days so I'd fallen behind. Unfortunately there's nowhere else in the house with enough space and when weighing yoga against sleep, I went with sleep.

I've been side-eyeing the lululemon extra large mat for a few days now and tonight has pretty much confirmed I need it - I am so fed up of always having either my head or feet hanging off the end - I need more mat, damnit! Just have to wait until I get paid (and possibly take out a morgage) but it shall be mine.

Musicianofbremen · 11/01/2016 06:30

Day 9 done. Really enjoyed it. I like Warrior too.

Sad magicalhamsandwich I've been in that position before. Not sure about you but I often feel like I am eating all the time but actually it's not proper meals just things like biscuits and the odd bite of what the DC are having. My DH is away a lot so it could be so tempting to skip evening meal. Last year I started really prioritising eating properly and put on half a stone and feel much better for it.

I hope you have a less stressful time ahead.

RubberDuck · 11/01/2016 08:57

Magicalham - I second going to see your GP, but also would it be worthwhile tracking your eating/exercise for a week or so with My Fitness Pal? It might be that while you're feeling like you're eating lots, you're just not taking enough calories in. At the very least, you then have a week's worth of data to show your GP so they can check for other things.

I've been there when ds1 was small. I was 7.5 stone pre-kids, but dropped to 7 stone (I'm 5'4") when dh lost his job and was then working away from home on a low salary and I really wasn't well. I was stressed as hell, had a picky toddler and basically just was exhausted at the end of the day and it was a pain in the arse to cook properly when ds1 wasn't going to eat it. Of course, not eating properly meant I was even more stressed and even more tired the next day, so it became a vicious cycle (I also suspect in retrospect that I became quite anaemic).

(I'm now 8.5 stone and not toned at all, but that's another story!!)

CoteDAzur · 11/01/2016 12:28

I just did Days 7 & 8, realised that I haven't done a single downward dog let alone a sun salutation, so did Day 9, too Smile

I've been feeling quite down this morning with the rain, a bit of family drama, and on top of that finding out that David Bowie has passed away (not that I know him or anything but his music has been such an important part of my life through various stages). Feeling much better now.

quirkychick · 11/01/2016 14:15

Have done Day 8, just what I needed.

Cote I agree, so sad about David Bowie, we also have a funeral tomorrow for my friend's husband Sad so needed something restorative too. I will be ready for something more challenging tomorrow.

Expellibramus · 11/01/2016 19:10

Day 8 done here, sorry about your friend's husband Quirk Flowers

Talisin · 11/01/2016 21:36

Day 10 done. Lots of stretching and I fear I may be walking a little oddly tomorrow after those pigeons - attempted pigeons if I'm being entirely honest. Still, my wrists no longer ache at all and the almost 40 minutes did not feel anything like that long.

quirkychick · 11/01/2016 22:07

Thanks expellibramus. Great name btw.

MagicalHamSandwich · 11/01/2016 23:07

Day 10 just finished. Up late tonight. Pigeon is my favourite (although my bum cheek still doesn't hit the floor).

Put on about a kilo of weight, too, so there's that.

RubberDuck · 12/01/2016 09:12

Day 10 done. I normally like pigeon but I struggled a bit today - really tight, particularly on my right hand side. Still, that's what I'm here for: stretch it all out!

I love love love the bridge, though. By far my favourite yoga pose - first bridge of YogaCamp, oh yeah!

Musicianofbremen · 12/01/2016 10:22

Loved day 10. My favourite so far I think. I found pigeon tight too.
