AIBU to see this accidental rejection email as a red flag?

What they do not want
Too senior
This is a major red flag.
They do not want:

  • 15–20 year veteran
  • people who have “done everything already”
  • people who feel too established / too corporate
  • someone who may be less hungry for a builder seat
G specifically said profiles like “I built xxx rm” are probably not the right fit.

I accidentally received this email along with my rejection today. The notes from the hiring manager.

You are a truly unpleasant poster, but I still wish you well with your job search.
I just really would not want to work with you

Edited

She's being "unpleasant" because you and several others have chosen to pile on her.

It’s a protective measure that they’re using. It’s psychology 101.
It has to be the individual that’s problematic because that’s the only way that in their little brains they can protect themselves from the possibility that this could happen to them and that they too might be discriminated against.

Yep, you are all nasty. Some are nastier than others. If the conversation was face to face, in what circumstances would it be acceptable to say to a person whom you didn't know that it was no wonder that they didn't get a job? Some have been positively gleeful about it. It's disgusting. Did you understand this post or is it also too difficult for you?

My employer was analysing applications today for a job that’s available where I work. Some had very obvious AI content. They will be rejected. If those candidates ask for feedback on why no interview they will be told why. I guess my employers are nasty too huh.
And yes if asked, in this instance I would say the same face to face. Just as I was glad when people bluntly told me why my applications for jobs weren’t successful (because they were rubbish!) I accepted that criticism, learnt from it, improved my technique and got a job.
It’s a fiercely competitive job market atm. Employers can take their pick.
