Thread 2! Woolly Hugs. Chernobyl 2018 is HERE!!!

You find us busily setting up a new home for our wonderful project. Will be making a special cosy corner for Soupy's poor blind cat - recently blinded by fiesta and her very bright blanket kit

As has been since the first year, this has been an astonishing team effort, folk never fail to amaze. THANK YOU! x

Our first project thread is here.... That was the one where we frantically made SQUARES and some folk made whole blankets, there was a lot of gin and the word characterful was used a lot

On the last thread we reached the dizzying heights of 64/100 absolutely gorgeous finished blankets, so here's hoping this thread sees us through to target...

Ooooo, and this will be the thread where we share the Early Bird 2019 info if anyone has been inspired or just wants to get ahead!

I worked out the overlap in the diagram between Snugs, Chernobs 2019 and Colours I Like, and bought those. There's a handful of colours I just don't like working with, so I didn't bother.

Slightly sad that Gold isn't in more things, because I really like it. Still, I did include Lipstick, Tomato and Spice which are glorious together.

@Catmint I will PM you my address this evening once I've wrestled DD2 for the laptop 💪

My blanket will be stripy but I will definitely be doing squares if I have any left over.

Six stripes in. I think it's starting to look like water/oceans

I've never worked with Gold, MrsH.
Two which I really like are Buttermilk and Vintage Peach. I always wish they were in a palette.

Madison it only appears in the Kinship Spiced palette, I think. But it's just warm and subtle, but helps other colours pop. I used a couple of balls in my recent Kinship. It's the, erm, golden colour in eg the bottom left 12", flower on the top visible row, etc.

Woolly - that is lovely ! I haven't yet plucked up the courage to do an all in one stripey blanket -there is safety in squares, and not so hot on the lap either :)
I tend to do the same when ordering MrsH, then regret it when I see the colours I'm not keen on used elsewhere. I think I tend to play it a bit too safe .

My DC's play in a brass band - the band has just been asked to play at a concert for a group of Chernobyl children. I'm so excited.
