Just devastating news, Iwant2move’s lovely DH was killed in a car crash, there truly are no words, we are so very sorry and are sending so much love to her and their children.Her thread is here if you would like to post condolences

We offered her a Woolly Hug and are so glad that she has accepted. There will be love in every stitch, and we hope it will be a real tribute to her wonderful DH.

Please will you help us? We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool)

Iwant2move says her wonderful DH loved music, was a huge heavy metal fan, loved Manchester City, his dogs and cats and the colour blue. We can make something very beautiful for her and their children.

Cream but please one of the following - Debbie Bliss Rialto DK 02 ecru, Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM4 cream, or Drops Merino 01 off white
Taupe - Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM7 Taupe
Stone - Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM9 Beige, or Debbie Bliss Rialto 06 Stone
For embellishments and accents (not whole squares) black and yellow but this yellow please Drops merino extra fine DK no 24 ‘light yellow’

Just from the brands listed please because we know they combine for wash and wear. If you still have any of our wools that have been discontinued - Rowan Cashsoft DK, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK or James C. Brett Pure Merino DK in your stash, please do use them.


Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.*

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! Previous blankets can be seen on our website

When ready for posting, it will be the Teddington address, if you would like to include a card for the family, please do, we will pass it on.

How did you find the King Cole bookbook? I've seen it and held it, but not used it yet

It was nice to knit with :) - It does feel just a tweak finer/thinner than the Debbie Bliss Rialto/Jenny Watson , but that may just be my imagination!

Good idea. I couldn't even get down the very straight road from our house to the PO today (luckily I've already posted relevant squares! very unlike me to be ahead of the game).

Very very cold, lots of snow still falling but nothing like as bad as some places. We are offering a warm(ish) sofa or two for people who are stuck out in nowhere with little/no heating. But they're a tough lot round here, so no takers yet!

Thanks K&P. I think I'll be able to get to the high st on Saturday but it's nice not to worry!
