Just devastating news, Iwant2move’s lovely DH was killed in a car crash, there truly are no words, we are so very sorry and are sending so much love to her and their children.Her thread is here if you would like to post condolences

We offered her a Woolly Hug and are so glad that she has accepted. There will be love in every stitch, and we hope it will be a real tribute to her wonderful DH.

Please will you help us? We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool)

Cream but please one of the following - Debbie Bliss Rialto DK 02 ecru, Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM4 cream, or Drops Merino 01 off white
Taupe - Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM7 Taupe
Stone - Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM9 Beige, or Debbie Bliss Rialto 06 Stone
For embellishments and accents (not whole squares) black and yellow but this yellow please Drops merino extra fine DK no 24 ‘light yellow’

Just from the brands listed please because we know they combine for wash and wear. If you still have any of our wools that have been discontinued - Rowan Cashsoft DK, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK or James C. Brett Pure Merino DK in your stash, please do use them.


Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.*

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! Previous blankets can be seen on our website

When ready for posting, it will be the Teddington address, if you would like to include a card for the family, please do, we will pass it on.

I must confess I looked at it to start with and saw a hairdryer Stitch 😂 I can most definitely see a cat when I look at it the right way up though so you've no worries there

I saw the cat straight away when I I was looking at the first picture . Its great Stitch :)

I have some leftover merino wool in these colours (Black Grape, Salty Grey, Dusty Grey and Redcurrant). It's Sublime Extra Fine Merino Worsted although I use a 4mm hook with it. Is any of it suitable?

I've sent mine off today, hoping that the pale blue is vaguely Man City like.

Haven't had chance to post but my wool arrived, so thank you so much for that!

Stitchit - I only just posted slinky & Watcher's squares along with the ones for the current blankets

(The burst of efficiency is really a result of laziness in not wanting to do two trips to the PO, so I got these hooked extra speedily!)

This is my first square in honour of my husband. My FIL broke down when he discovered you were all making squares for a blanket in my husband’s memory and has asked me to make one from him and my MIL too.
