Just devastating news, Iwant2move’s lovely DH was killed in a car crash, there truly are no words, we are so very sorry and are sending so much love to her and their children.Her thread is here if you would like to post condolences

We offered her a Woolly Hug and are so glad that she has accepted. There will be love in every stitch, and we hope it will be a real tribute to her wonderful DH.

Please will you help us? We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool)

Debbie Bliss Rialto DK
Drops Merino Extra Fine DK
Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK
Katia Merino 100% DK
King Cole Luxury Merino DK (new this time)
Sublime Extra Fine Merino Wool DK
Patons Merino Extrafine DK

Iwant2move says her wonderful DH loved music, was a huge heavy metal fan, loved Manchester City, his dogs and cats and the colour blue. We can make something very beautiful for her and their children.

Colourwise…
Particularly light blue for Manchester City, but all blues too.
Plums eg DB rialto 62 or the new King Cole merino ‘damson’
Cream but please one of the following - Debbie Bliss Rialto DK 02 ecru, Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM4 cream, or Drops Merino 01 off white
Taupe - Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM7 Taupe
Stone - Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM9 Beige, or Debbie Bliss Rialto 06 Stone
For embellishments and accents (not whole squares) black and yellow but this yellow please Drops merino extra fine DK no 24 ‘light yellow’

Just from the brands listed please because we know they combine for wash and wear. If you still have any of our wools that have been discontinued - Rowan Cashsoft DK, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK or James C. Brett Pure Merino DK in your stash, please do use them.


Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.*

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! Previous blankets can be seen on our website

When ready for posting, it will be the Teddington address, if you would like to include a card for the family, please do, we will pass it on.

As always, thank you so much for your support, thinking of Iwant2move, their children and her DH, of all who love and miss him.

K&P, would Drops Merino No 21 Purple do as a plum? I have some of that left, and could do a square in it. I've done a pale blue square so if the Drops won't do, I can still send one square.

Posted two rather plain squares today, one blue, one purple.

book, you are so clever! I can almost sing that tune {grin}. Definitely notes, very clear.
