We have heard the dreadfully sad and shocking news that WhereDoAllTheCalculatorsGo’s husband died suddenly earlier this month following a brain haemorrhage. We send Calculators our love and are so sorry for her loss. She, their children, grand daughter, family and friends are in our hearts and thoughts.

We are so pleased that she accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, there will be love for all of them crafted into every stitch. Calculators’ thread is here if you would like to post a message to her

So we are now asking for help once again Sad Thanks

I will co ordinate and Knotty (KnottyLocks) will help you with any queries, crafting, colour choice etc that you may have. If you are unsure about anything please ask. We need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread and PM me (RatherBeOnThePiste) with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, etc, I can help you with all of it.

Thanks Thank you so much.

    Suggestions for personalisations and motifs
    Lovely Calculators says….
He enjoyed flying model aeroplanes and riding motorbikes. He loved watching Formula 1 and all other car and bike racing.
I love owls, birds and butterflies.
Our favourite colour was always purple.
His favourite thing in all the world was a margarita cocktail. (Hence our toast to him here.)

We also have their initials, if you would like to help with this, please also PM.

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook.

Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

    Thanks Thanks

Previous blankets can be seen on our website We also have a Facebook page MNWoollyHugs and are on Twitter @MNWoollyHugs. If you 'like' or 'follow' us you'll be updated on progress via your feed. If looking for ideas for a pattern, there are many linked to from our website under Crafting

Please don’t block your square, and when finishing, knot securely and use a needle to sew the pesky in, please don’t cut to the knot as it could well fall apart. When ready for posting, please PM me for info. As always, we thank you so much for your support,

“I am so touched and grateful that you would do this for me.”
So sad that another blanket is needed. Calculators my lovely, we are thinking of you, your children, grand daughter, your families and friends and sending love X

    Thanks

"Dear woolly hugs I'm trying to put into words how I felt when I opened the parcel with my big woolly hug in it this morning... Words don't seem enough somehow, everything I write is an understatement and seems inadequate. I am thrilled yet so sad. I am deeply touched by the care, love and skill that has gone into it, yet wish that I had never needed one to be made for me. I am delighted with all of the different squares; hearts, flowers, butterflies, owls, planes, cars (and margarita glasses of course!) Yet full of pain that I am sat here alone without Bill at my side to share it. It holds a very special place in my heart, I know I will never be without it and wrapping myself up in it feels amazing. Yesterday would have been our wedding anniversary, it was a difficult day and I was wracked with sobs of misery and pain. Today I feel more at peace. Thank you x"

We are so pleased that the very lovely Calcs has her Woolly Hug. We are thinking of Bill and all who love and miss him. When Calcs wraps herself in her blanket it is like a great big hug from us all, love in every stitch. Thank you everyone. xxx

The photo album is here...

The blanket is just beautiful.

Calc I keep thinking of you and all the others who are having the 1st Christmas without their loved ones and my heart goes out to you and all of them.
I do hope that you feel somewhat comforted knowing that we love you and you are not alone when you cozy up under your special Woolly Hug.
Massive hugs to you my lovely. Keep strong. X

Hi zing. Christmas is difficult. My husband was not a big fan of Christmas and often volunteered to work so his team could have the day off (24 hour operation). I used to spend the day at my dad's with DB and SIL and DS. DH and I used to text constantly.
I couldn't bear doing that this year so DS and I will be sailing from Southampton on a big boat for the entire Christmas and new year period. Really looking forward to it :)
