We have heard the dreadfully sad and shocking news that WhereDoAllTheCalculatorsGo’s husband died suddenly earlier this month following a brain haemorrhage. We send Calculators our love and are so sorry for her loss. She, their children, grand daughter, family and friends are in our hearts and thoughts.

We are so pleased that she accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, there will be love for all of them crafted into every stitch. Calculators’ thread is here if you would like to post a message to her

So we are now asking for help once again Sad Thanks

I will co ordinate and Knotty (KnottyLocks) will help you with any queries, crafting, colour choice etc that you may have. If you are unsure about anything please ask. We need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread and PM me (RatherBeOnThePiste) with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, etc, I can help you with all of it.

Thanks Thank you so much.

    Suggestions for personalisations and motifs
    Lovely Calculators says….
He enjoyed flying model aeroplanes and riding motorbikes. He loved watching Formula 1 and all other car and bike racing.
I love owls, birds and butterflies.
Our favourite colour was always purple.
His favourite thing in all the world was a margarita cocktail. (Hence our toast to him here.)

We also have their initials, if you would like to help with this, please also PM.

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook.

Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

    Thanks Thanks

Previous blankets can be seen on our website We also have a Facebook page MNWoollyHugs and are on Twitter @MNWoollyHugs. If you 'like' or 'follow' us you'll be updated on progress via your feed. If looking for ideas for a pattern, there are many linked to from our website under Crafting

Please don’t block your square, and when finishing, knot securely and use a needle to sew the pesky in, please don’t cut to the knot as it could well fall apart. When ready for posting, please PM me for info. As always, we thank you so much for your support,

“I am so touched and grateful that you would do this for me.”
So sad that another blanket is needed. Calculators my lovely, we are thinking of you, your children, grand daughter, your families and friends and sending love X

    Thanks

I was wondering about making something along the lines of this margarita glass pattern although I'm not convinced by that shape, I think I would make my own chart with a more margarita-y shape, that looks more like a martini to me! I might play around with colours too - I think the sublime pistachio could work for the drink itself, with some details in cream. But will see how I get on, it might be better to just do the square in one colour...

Would that be OK do you think?

Just checking, was there a decision on the Pistachio? I have a James C Brett one that I was planning on using which I would also describe as Pistachio. It doesn't seem to have a name but is shade number PM1. Also, I have Sublime in 0204 (Frappe) which looked like lovely light purple in the shop but now I have it at home it really is quite pink, especially in artificial light. I asked DH, to get an objective view and he said it was purple, but a very pinky purple! Would it be OK to use this (would probably just be for accents rather than main square background)?

Oh it's just that pantshavenames was asking upthread as she has the sublime pistachio. Pistey was going to have a look and confirm. It hadn't occurred to me either that this might not count as green Smile

Morning, we have another lovely donor to thank. Honestly your donations mean so much to us, we always want to be inclusive, for everyone to join in if they would like to, and some folk just wouldn't be able to afford to.

Your kind donations make it possible. Thank you

Thanks MrsPurchase

You are a star, back later with woolly thanks, beautiful squares have been arriving! Thanks
