We have heard the dreadfully sad and shocking news that WhereDoAllTheCalculatorsGo’s husband died suddenly earlier this month following a brain haemorrhage. We send Calculators our love and are so sorry for her loss. She, their children, grand daughter, family and friends are in our hearts and thoughts.

We are so pleased that she accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, there will be love for all of them crafted into every stitch. Calculators’ thread is here if you would like to post a message to her

So we are now asking for help once again Sad Thanks

I will co ordinate and Knotty (KnottyLocks) will help you with any queries, crafting, colour choice etc that you may have. If you are unsure about anything please ask. We need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread and PM me (RatherBeOnThePiste) with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, etc, I can help you with all of it.

Thanks Thank you so much.

    Suggestions for personalisations and motifs
    Lovely Calculators says….
He enjoyed flying model aeroplanes and riding motorbikes. He loved watching Formula 1 and all other car and bike racing.
I love owls, birds and butterflies.
Our favourite colour was always purple.
His favourite thing in all the world was a margarita cocktail. (Hence our toast to him here.)

We also have their initials, if you would like to help with this, please also PM.

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook.

Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

    Thanks Thanks

Previous blankets can be seen on our website We also have a Facebook page MNWoollyHugs and are on Twitter @MNWoollyHugs. If you 'like' or 'follow' us you'll be updated on progress via your feed. If looking for ideas for a pattern, there are many linked to from our website under Crafting

Please don’t block your square, and when finishing, knot securely and use a needle to sew the pesky in, please don’t cut to the knot as it could well fall apart. When ready for posting, please PM me for info. As always, we thank you so much for your support,

“I am so touched and grateful that you would do this for me.”
So sad that another blanket is needed. Calculators my lovely, we are thinking of you, your children, grand daughter, your families and friends and sending love X

    Thanks

I just wanted to post and say thank you for all of your kind words as well as the time, effort, skill and love that you are putting into the blanket. Lots of support on my other thread too.
I've said on there that I'm not a crafty person but even so I have been inspired to sign up for a beginners crochet course at the local college so that I can hopefully contribute squares to future blankets. The course is in June, I am looking forward to it.

Enormous hugs to you my lovely xxxx

Hi Calculators, thank you for posting such a positive and encouraging post. I hope you enjoy learning to crochet and continue to learn and enjoy it, even after you've finished the course. Flowers

Pistey, I posted a square to you ten days ago. Hasn't it arrived? If I forgot to include a note (possible!), it was a plain purple knit.

Please lovely ladies, when is the date for them to be in?

Report
PeaceOfWildThings · 18/03/2015 19:31

The thread is still in 'chat' so that usually means the date hasn't been set yet....When they set thevdate, it usually gets added to the OP and the thread is moved to the Woolly Hugs topic. I think it is usually set to around a month (give or take a week.or so) after the day the thread is moved.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 19/03/2015 10:16

Morning :) Brew

Going to reinforce what you say Peace! We tend to set a date, and move the Thread once we know everyone is underway. We also try to link up posting dates, as we have with this one.

Last posting for squares for the Blanket for lovely Calculators to be April 18th.

This is the same as for the next collection of Billie's Blankets.

Thank you so much everyone Thanks
