Woolly Hugs. A Blanket for the very lovely Inaminutenow. Crafters and donors, we need your help.

I'm afraid we bring very sad news. Inaminutenow’s beloved husband died in February, he had been suffering from cancer. Such devastating news, we are so sorry that life has been so cruel. Our love and thoughts are with her and their family. There is no separate thread, Inaminutenow has been posting in the very supportive thread for Mumsnetters whose husbands have cancer. Love and strength to them all X

We have offered to make Inaminutenow a blanket to show our love and support and to offer what comfort we can, and we are delighted to say she has accepted.

So we are asking for help once again

We will need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) I will co ordinate and Knotty (KnottyLocks) will help you with any crafting queries you may have. Sincere heartfelt thanks.

Cream but please choose one of the following - Debbie Bliss Rialto DK 02 ecru, James C. Brett Pure Merino DK no 7 or Jenny Watson Pure Merino DK WM4 cream

Ideas and suggestions for squares.
Inaminutenow’s DH was a proud Welshman, so ideas there.
He loved his job, dealing with access to the countryside, footpaths, bridle ways etc. He was involved in creating a Coastal Path, so sea and countryside themes, birds, flowers, stars etc.
We have the family’s initials if this is something anyone would like to do, please PM.

Please don't feel daunted by these suggestions, we love plain squares and simple textures too. They look as stunning as the more complex squares and play a vital role in the overall effect.

Squares to be 6 inches, using 4mm hook or needles. All crafting abilities genuinely welcome, squares made by beginner or expert are equally welcomed. It really is the love and thought that counts.

Our Crafting Guide is a good place for support, and previous blankets can be seen on our website too.

When finished please sew in those ends but don’t block your work. Then PM me (RatherBeOnThePiste) for details for posting.

Good news Yegods chocks away for you

Just wondering if any lovely crafters are still waiting for woolly wool to arrive either their own, or from their lovely donor? Am hearing tales of some onine companies messing about, so am just keen to know that all is well in The World Of Wool.

Oh, I didn't know there was a third blanket on the go, and I think I know who minmooch is and what must've happened for her to need a blanket :( I will try to find the thread, I should be able to get at least one square done for each before the deadline, especially as my uni hols start this weekend so plenty of revision knitting time :)

Colour question for knotty, is drops in North Sea ok? It's a bluey green, neither blue nor green.

It been ordered. I took a chance! And on a sunny day the north sea can be that colour! I used to wake up to it every day. Always blumming freezing mind, but pretty!
