We are delighted to be announcing Woolly Hugs’ Easter Craft Sale to raise funds for the fabulous charity MIND.

MIND is a charity dedicated to supporting anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They offer sound information, advice and support to individuals, and also campaign tirelessly to raise public awareness and promote understanding of issues relating to mental health. To read more about the fantastic work they do, read on here.

“We’re here to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.” MIND

We’d love to help them.

Here's how...
We are going to run an online Easter Craft sale in a very similar way to our successful Christmas craft fundraiser. All funds raised will be donated to MIND.

We'd love your help...
We are looking to make and sell small/lightweight Eastery/Spring/gorgeous items, sewn, crocheted, knitted, crafted, the how is up to you! To keep postage costs to a minimum we ask that ideally anything made can be sent on to a buyer in a Large envelope, which is 35cm by 25cm, no thicker than 2.5cm, 750g max. Or smaller obvs :)

Some suggestions for you but we are open to others

  • Easter decorations - chicks, eggs, sheeeeps, rabbits.
  • Easter/spring bunting
  • Brooches
  • Other Stuff???!!!

Last posting for crafts to be FRIDAY 28th MARCH Thanks
Please PM for posting information.

If you’d like to contribute funds to help others craft, then we’d love to hear from you. Our paypal is [email protected] and make sure you add a contact name and note that it is for MIND.

The Sale itself will take place during the week beginning Monday 6th April, actual dates to be confirmed, it will be run through our Facebook page MNWoollyHugs. All details we will share on here, on FB and Twitter @MNWoollyHugs nearer the time.

Huge thanks once again. Fingers crossed this will be a great success and we can help the lovely folk at MIND help even more lovely folk.

Fantastic.

We've only just recovered as have the robins but we are very hopeful this will be a Hoooooooooge success for the lovely folk at MIND

:)

JulesJules · 11/03/2014 05:28

Opinions please! Have knitted a sheep, (it only has one leg atm, there will be four) and I'm in two three minds. Shall I just leave it as it is or attach a ribbon so it can be hung up (and admire the view) OR make a few more and string them together? Sheep is about 2-3 inches long.

KnottyLocks · 11/03/2014 06:56

Sheeeeeeeeeeep!

KnottyLocks · 11/03/2014 06:59

I think I'd go with a pair of woolly hanging sheep. Maybe do a small knitted loop so you can attach ribbon through it but the ribbon can be detachable iyswim. Gives people the option to hang their sheep or not!Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/03/2014 08:05

Oh Look!!!!!

Sheeps!!!

PurpleFrog · 11/03/2014 08:57

I was discounting stuffed animals for this Fundraiser on the grounds that they would be more than 2.5cm thick - although I did wonder at Christmas if Bobina had to wear a corset for "travel". Wink

I might try some crochet brooches as I picked up a few brooch pins cheaply in a local Barnados shop last week (new, craft ones, I hasten to add).

JulesJules · 11/03/2014 15:01

Oh God Blush

Yes, Bobina the BBR was more ( a lot more) than 2.5cm... and so is her cousin Chookina...and the sheep is too.

Do you want some money towards postage Blush
Or I could just send the hens, they're not very big

Would have no idea how to do a small knitted loop, so I'll have a think about ribbon.
