Our sympathies and thoughts are with daisydotandgertie, who lost her husband this month.

Woolly Hugs is now in action and this is the support and chat thread at which all are welcome - knitters, crocheters and donors. If you are a first time crafter please do have a go. There is bags of support and plain squares are just as important to our endeavour as fancy ones.

As flowers was one of the requested motifs, I'll just note there's a flowers section in the crafting guide. I might try the posies pattern on this sock pattern. For Welsh (or at least Celtic) patterns, I did this for a previous blanket.

Found a local wool shop selling Debbie Bliss cashmerino and Rialto wools, so well underway now.

GlaikitFizzog · 20/05/2013 09:38

TheOneWithTheHair · 20/05/2013 09:51

I was wondering if someone could look the square on my profile and tell me if it's ok for Survival's blanket please?

I've done two and the flowers are forget-me-nots.

GlaikitFizzog · 20/05/2013 09:53

That is beautiful TheOne :o

TheOneWithTheHair · 20/05/2013 10:07

Thank you. I'm glad it's ok. :)

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 20/05/2013 10:23

That looks lovely, TheOne. Smile

LackaDAISYcal · 20/05/2013 10:27

I undo my knitting like that all the time! I just call it unpicking and never knew it had an actual, proper name Grin

Your square is just gorgeous TheOne Smile

I am tied in knots with a cardigan I'm trying to finish, so have been neglecting squares this last week. Back on with it this week though Smile

GlaikitFizzog · 20/05/2013 10:43

MinnieBar · 20/05/2013 15:16

Last posting dates!

Saturday 26th May - Last posting for squares for Daisy, plus next batches of Little Hugs and Angel Hugs. Just lining up a delivery of Little Hugs for mid week next week, then will call the Brompton.

Monday 10th June - Last posting for squares for Team Survival and Trinity.

We needed longer for TS as we've had folk joining us as recently as yesterday.

Huge thanks to all Thanks

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/05/2013 10:50

Can someone point me in the right direction to get the details for Trinity's blanket please? I thought I could do a couple for hers and send them all together. Is that ok?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/05/2013 10:54

Here you are Details for Trinity, thank you, and yes, more than OK, bless you, that will be marvellous. Thanks

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/05/2013 10:55

Checking back in Smile

UniqueAndAmazing · 21/05/2013 12:32

I'm in on the 26th batch :)

I hope.
If DD will let me have half an hour to crochet!

Jacksmania · 21/05/2013 19:07

Ugh. Rotten cold. Filthy, stinking, rotten cold.

I'm in work. And I want to be at home, in my bed, undisturbed, crocheting. Or on the couch.

Blue squares done. Starting on the apple green wool tonight.

I promise to not sneeze or cough on it and to disinfect it if I do.

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/05/2013 19:10

I wasn't ignoring you I promise. :) Hope you feel better soon. How are things in Canada? Seems a long time since the Plurkers. Grin

Jacksmania · 21/05/2013 19:14

I've been too busy to feel ignored good thing I'm not sensitive or anything :o

Whatever has happened to the Plurkers? Is that still going? I've hardly been posting except for the Woolly threads - they're safe and friendly and everyone's nice. Not so much in the remainder of MN these days...

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/05/2013 19:19

It fizzled out. I guess that's the problem with lurkers though. We read more than we posted. Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 21/05/2013 19:34

poor you jacks. I'm just getting over the most awful cold. It really is rubbish.

And you are right it is safe and friendly here, without here and my AN thread I think I may have run away a while ago :)

KnottyLocks · 21/05/2013 20:50

Poorly Jacks, cold snasty.

Hope you feel better soon.

Agree, tis very rarely I venture far from woolly threads. Mind you, there's sod all time to do that at the mo anyhow!
