A Blanket for My5boysandme. Sign up thread for crafters and donors. Can you help us?

With heavy hearts we bring the desperately sad news that My5boysandme has lost her precious baby son Dexter. We have offered to make the family a blanket, and hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them. We are so pleased that they have accepted. My5boysandme sends thanks to all and is very touched by everyone's kindness and compassion. Here is her original thread

So once again we are calling on the Blanketeers for help - whether it be donating, knitting or crocheting. Will you join us?

If you would like to help in anyway, please post on this thread but also PM me so we know. If you are able to donate, I can match you up with a crafter, or give you our donating information. I will co ordinate, match and deal with any admin. Knotty is here to answer any questions you may have. Sincere heartfelt thanks once again

As in the past, for consistency, the wools we are using are:

• Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK (NOT the baby cashmerino)
• Rowan Cashsoft DK
• Sublime Extra Fine Merino Wool DK
• Artesano Superwash Merino DK

4mm knitting needles or hooks
6" squares, as simple or as complex as you like.

The Colours
Greens, blues, silvers, dark/warm purple and cream.
If choosing cream, we ask that you go for the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK 013

I ordered some wool earlier but I did it wrong. I only just realised when I checked back that it only ordered 1 ball, sorry

Randall - one ball is lovely, thank you, you can easily get two squares out of a ball, some manage three.

Really great to hear news of woolly wool arriving already, that is marvellous.

Count me in. I wasn't able to help on the last couple of blankets but I'll gladly do a square now. I've even got quicker! I'll keep your inbox light a glowing Pistey .

I've got two balls, very quickly from Cucumberpatch. Thanks to my donor.

My local wool shop doesn't stock any of those 4 so I will check out cucumberpatch now then, I wanted to start it today! Don't like waiting for things!

Flojo, John Lewis carries some of these I think, though it's not the cheapest.

No John Lewis nr me, leafy villages have their downsides!
