When we offered to make some Little Hugs for Yorkhill Hospital, we also talked to them about their Christmas Fundraiser.
As part of our support, we offered to help by making some little things that could be sold on a craft stall to help raise funds for the hospital.

So here we are, asking you if you could help in anyway.
If you could make one small thing, we would be so grateful.

We have an idea of the types of things that have been popular in the past and have a few idea of our own such as:

Little hats
Little cardis
Christmas Decorations
Little bags and purses
Christmas stockings
Bunting
Knitted or crocheted softies
Brooches
Cotton washcloths
Napkins
Coasters
Stocking fillers

Although it is a Christmas event, the goodies needn't necessarily be Christmassy.

Any other suggestions are welcomed with open arms

If you have any patterns or links that would help to inspire others we'd be grateful for those too.

We have a Last Posting date of 17th November so that we can ensure that all the goodies arrive in time for the Christmas event.

Have just seen the Hug facebook picture and the birds clearly do work as a robin :o

I was envisaging doing the red chest as an integral part of the round... hmm... I have brown Stylecraft, I have red Stylecraft... I have many other stash yarns in red and brown... I can see where my afternoon is headed :o

You need to find someone who's done craft fairs before to see what kind of things sell well.

I was going to try that, Soupy, then decided to try a separate circle to save time and brain-- I didn't sew the wing on fully to add more interest.

I needed to keep it quick as we wanted to start this off with an idea and had to cobble something together fairly fast.

I once made felt robin bunting using an owl pattern. It looks wonderful :) I wonder if I've got any robin coloured felt left...

Did someone say sewn stuff ok too? Can't knit or crochet for toffee but I'm sure I could stitch some felt decorations for you.

Is there some way to organise an online craft fair...? Proceeds donated to Yorkhill...? It may be a way to have heavier items as the crafter would post individually to the buyer. Also, made-to-order to avoid excess stock.

The robins were easy - I deliberately left the wings off but I think, with hindsight, a single layer of felt sticking out from each side seam would look good.

No stuffing which is a bonus :o
