When we offered to make some Little Hugs for Yorkhill Hospital, we also talked to them about their Christmas Fundraiser.
As part of our support, we offered to help by making some little things that could be sold on a craft stall to help raise funds for the hospital.

So here we are, asking you if you could help in anyway.
If you could make one small thing, we would be so grateful.

We have an idea of the types of things that have been popular in the past and have a few idea of our own such as:

Little hats
Little cardis
Christmas Decorations
Little bags and purses
Christmas stockings
Bunting
Knitted or crocheted softies
Brooches
Cotton washcloths
Napkins
Coasters
Stocking fillers

Although it is a Christmas event, the goodies needn't necessarily be Christmassy.

Any other suggestions are welcomed with open arms

If you have any patterns or links that would help to inspire others we'd be grateful for those too.

We have a Last Posting date of 17th November so that we can ensure that all the goodies arrive in time for the Christmas event.

As always, thank you so much for your support.

Thanks

This is the Christmas bauble pattern from attic24 someone mentioned up thread.

And I will finish my hugs and refuge squares before I commit to this but I would like to make something to help. I just get a bit panicky if I have too many things queued up at once.

How teeny weeny are we talking, hat-wise? Baby hats or novelty/dolly hats? I have been knitting Innocent smoothie hats lately and they're pretty easy.

Stockings - these: littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk/free_knitting_patterns/mini_knitted_christmas_stockings/ are pretty easy (I am not a particularly competent knitter, so they were nicely challenging).

Knitted bunting is easy-peasy. Cast on one stitch, knit it, knit it again, then increase. Increase every third row so you get a bunting triangle instead of a right-angled one. I use a knit-front-and-back increase. Carry on until you think the bunt is big enough, cast off. Repeat until you have adequate number of bunts, then knit and i-cord and attach them to it.

Morning Brew

DCMB - we are talking baby hats, not those teeny weeny innocent smoothie type ones, although those are very cute!

I am going to enjoy looking through everyone's links, that's for sure, but just had a quick glance at those stockings DCMB - how adorable! Smile

Those teeny Innocent Smoothie hats would look great in red with a white bobble on top to hang on a tree...
