A Blanket for 3girlies: Sign up thread for donors and crafters. Can you help us?

We have heard the desperately sad news that 3girlies daughter Flora has lost her battle against a brain tumour, she was 6 years old. 3girlies' thread is here

We send 3girlies our love and are so sorry for her loss. She and her family are in our hearts and thoughts X

We have offered to make the family a blanket, and hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them. We are so pleased that they have accepted.

So we are calling out for knitters, crocheters and donors. Can you help us?

If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread, and also PM me so we know. I will coordinate and match crafters and donors, and deal with any admin. We now have Paypal to make donating easier for all. So please PM if you would like to join us, or if I can help match you. Knotty will try to answer any queries you may have. Sincere heartfelt thanks. Thanks

Once again the wool we are using is:

  • Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK (NOT the baby cash)
  • Rowan Cashsoft DK
  • Sublime Extra Fine Merino Wool DK
  • Artesano Superwash Merino DK

    The Colours
Pinks, warm purple, greens, blues, silver, cream
If choosing cream we ask that you go for the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK 013

    Themes
Flowers please, also initials F, P and L.

    4mm needles or hook.

Do use the crafting guide on the website to help you with lots of practical info, and if interested there are a lot of linked suggestions for squares.

Previous blankets can be seen on the Woolly Hugs website and we are on Facebook and Twitter at MNWoollyHugs which are good ways to keep in touch.

But once again, we thank you so much for your support X Thanks

I'd like to send a square or two as well.

I know the drill. I wish I didn't despite the wonderful effort that MNers make and how lovely it is to be doing something together that might make a bit of a difference. Still wish it wasn't needed though. Sad

I'd like to do some squares too. It's been a while since I knitted or crocheted so hope my efforts won't look to awful next to the fantastic ones other people produce.

Our mantra has always been , 'Simple squares are good; Simple squares are essential' . The blankets' core strength is the heart and thoughts gone into them. Smile

Pistey did you get my pm for your address to post squares? I haven't had a reply yet and my squares need posting. No probs if you are drowning under a sea of PM's.
