We have heard the dreadfully sad news that Chipmonkey's baby daughter died unexpectedly this week. Condolence thread is here Chipmonkey has said tonight that she would love to receive a MN blanket.

Because Knotty is snowed under a mountain of wool, I am taking on the coordination for this, so if you are a donor or a crafter needing a match - please PM me and I will match you up. I know there is an amazing army of donor, knitter and crochet stars, and I am hoping that you will feel able to help with this blanket too.

So if you feel that you can help, please PM me with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, don't need wool, and I will sort it all out, and when you are ready to post, PM me for the address.

I will have to get back on the deadline...

But thank you in advance.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/10/2011 07:31

purpleknittingmum - brilliant, you are super speedy Grin I really want to learn crochet, not sure how I'd get on, but I am keen to give it a whirl!

I am very hopeful that more of the woolly stuff will arrive with crafters today.
As always, I'm out until lunchtime, so please don't think I'm ignoring you if you message me and I don't initially reply... Smile

I've replied to all the latests PMs

Thanks and fingers crossed for wool being squeezed through letterboxes this morning!

Whenisitmysleepytime · 11/10/2011 10:39

my wool arrived! Grin

thank you to H Mc_. a very nice dark purple/ blue. (i'm assuming its from you as it was addressed to someone who's not me)

where's me needles....

SoupDragon · 11/10/2011 13:36

I had to thread hop through three threads to find this one!

my wool arrived this morning... Blue lilac and grey. I nearly chased the postman down the road with it as it was addressed to the donor and I thought it had been mis-delivered :o
I twigged before making a fool of myself though.

KnottyLocks · 11/10/2011 14:28

Seems to be a common thing that the wool has the donor's name but is addressed to the crafter. I've totally befuddled my postie over the last few weeks Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/10/2011 14:57

Fabulous that more wool is arriving with crafters - thank you to the donors Thanks

I have returned all messages from this morning, thank you everyone!

MustControlFistOfDeath - Thank you so much, I have sent you a PM
and also I have PM'd you TheRealMBJ

KnottyLocks · 11/10/2011 16:59

Cakey, you having a bash at crochet, my lovely?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/10/2011 17:09

greenzebra · 11/10/2011 17:11

just pm'd you piste

can I ask you lovely crocheters on here what size hook are you using?

KnottyLocks · 11/10/2011 17:21

We're using a 4mm or 4.5mm hook.

Whenisitmysleepytime · 11/10/2011 17:22

piste or anyone who knows
Are there any initials/ themes/ ideas it would be nice to include?

I'm not promising anything but thought I'd ask while I was still deciding how to start. Confused

purplewerepidj · 11/10/2011 17:26

The DD's name was Sylvie-Rose and Peachy's organising a rose plant in her memory. So I would think lots of flowers mixed in with the plain ones?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/10/2011 17:36

My wool has arrived today, a lovely purple one, thank you to someone whose name starts with C. I was impressed that the postman managed to squeeze it through the letter box, I had thought I was going to have to go to the sorting office tomorrow.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 11/10/2011 17:41

Whenisitmysleepytime Peachy's thread for Chipmonkey is here

and greenzebra - I agree with Knotty...

I have replied to all PMs from this afternoon Thanks to everyone x

Yes Knotty. Slowly but surely! I'd score higher on effort than end result at the moment! Somehow, my rows get shorter and shorter and so my 'square' is very un square like! Confused One step forward and two back at the moment. Am determined to try and get something produced, having been inspired ever since Edgar's blanket. Soupy said she's a newbie too and her bears etc were so lovely. She obviously has the knack more than me!
Think I need to have a look at You tube.
