Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

It's a label, innit Soupy. Wink

NessaRose · 22/09/2011 23:46

Knotty have PM'ed you.

purplepidjinawoollytangle · 23/09/2011 06:59

Sticky, you wiggle it round until you find the gap! It does work, although there may have to be more picnics involved if you get stuck Wink

"Another version of the Triple Crochet is the Extended Triple Crochet. To make the Extended Triple Crochet - yo twice, insert hook into top two loops of stitch (unless otherwise specified) just as you do with the regular stitch, then yo, pull through (4 lps on hk), yo, pull through ONE loop only (still 4 lps on hk), then complete the stitch as normal with (yo, pull through 2 lps) 3 times"

Obviously not what I'm doing then Confused

Sorry, PurpleP, i couldn't concentrate after sniggering childishly at the double entendres in your opening paragraph. to be fair, I have just come from the Downton Abbey thread.

KnottyLocks · 23/09/2011 11:16

Have just updated the Woolly arrivals thread.

There's quite a wool mountain here now Grin

KnottyLocks · 23/09/2011 15:36

Like I'd manage to stop her anyhow Grin

SoupDragon · 23/09/2011 18:44

[crestfallen]

How could you say that of me?

SoupDragon · 23/09/2011 18:47

Actually, doing the row of DC round the Bear in the bear squares is rather like PurpleP described: Stick it in any hole you can see and hope no one notices if it is the wrong one.

[snigger]

lydiathetattooedlady · 23/09/2011 19:07

oh bums...i thought id posted on here on thursday but it was obviously a figment of my tired imagination! My little boy has been ill with a rahter nasty water infection Sad
purplepidj could you possible send me the links for the blankets so i can see the layout please.
Is there a deadline date for the blanket? x x

purplepidjinawoollytangle · 23/09/2011 20:16

Lydia, this is yours

The little yellow squares are post-its to show where your squares will go. Left to right: Top row: Child's initial in intarsia; "R" in whatever the other thing is called. Next row: Mum square

Does that make sense?

lydia, there is no rush to finish the blankets quickly right now, we may wait for the memory book to have gone round to all who are involved with that, and as I am and probably will be feeling rather rough for the forseeable future, I am going to take this slowly.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 23/09/2011 23:27

oh and pidj, more picnics are always welcome. I enjoyed it :)

SoupDragon · 24/09/2011 08:51

The news on cupoftea's little girl isn't good I'm afraid :(
