I've just heard the sad news about Magic8ballhasstheanswers leaving 6mo twins and a 4yo Sad

If anybody would like to show their condolences, post here and we'll organise it. I'll take on construction again unless someone else would like a turn?

IvySedai (who messaged me to let me know) is happy to co-ordinate so PM's from Donors and Crafters needing a match to her please.

Previous squares were 6", knitted or crocheted. Blues, pinks and purples were the most popular colours. Debbie Bliss Cashmerino or Rowan Cashsoft DK (links are just the first ones I found on google) It's also available in John Lewis.

Lastly, was there anything in particular that Magic liked and could be incorporated in the design?

I will also be posting Monday am. Am hoping I will squeeze a third square out of one ball (knitted and a 55 row pattern so I may struggle) which I am working on now. They are all butterflies same as the one on my profile pic, if it is possible to put one on each blanket I would be grateful.

DutchOma · 03/09/2011 21:15

More pictures on my profile. The last ones for Magic8's blankets and the first for Whatever's and Gherkin's

KnottyLocks · 03/09/2011 23:21

Oma, they are gorgeous. Love the little bears Star

DutchOma · 04/09/2011 09:23

Woukd you like bears for the other two blankets?

JulesJules · 04/09/2011 09:27

I have just seen this thread. Sad

Am I too late to offer to knit some more squares?

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 11:18

Oma, that would be lovely. Thank you.

Jules, the last posting date for Magic's blanket is Friday 9th September.

We're also working on blankets for Whatevertheweather and Cheeseandgerkins on the Blanket6 thread. Those will have a slightly later posting date. I hope to confirm that by tomorrow.

JulesJules · 04/09/2011 14:36

OK, I have ordered a couple of balls of wool from cucumberpatch, sort of silvery grey and pinky grey. Are we sending to the same address as before, including leftover wool?

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 04/09/2011 15:43

Hello everyone, I am so sorry about completely disappearing like tha I have been completely snowed under at home, but all is sorted and I am as good as back to normal now.

As you were.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 04/09/2011 15:49

Knotty, have PMed Lydia to order a further 2 balls of wool for the second person you matched me with-won't let me PM you !

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 15:55

Glad things are sorted Smile

Jules, squares for Magic's blankets are going to Pidj - same address as previous blankets.

Squares for Whatevertheweather and CheeseandGerkins are coming to me.

Include any leftover wool if you can. Ta.

Moanna · 04/09/2011 19:38

I still haven't received any wool, but am happy to crochet for either blanket....

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 04/09/2011 21:15

Moanna if you pm me your address again I will order you some right now.
Then I'll try getting in touch with your donor.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 04/09/2011 21:45

Hi all, I've finally managed to get pictures of my squares up on my profile. They were knitted with wool donated by Pinot.

Thumbwitch · 05/09/2011 08:34

oh they're lovely, Songbirds! I particularly like the arrowhead lacey one and the fishing net one. :)

KnottyLocks · 05/09/2011 09:31

Morning all.

I'm posting this on this this thread as well as on the Blanket6 thread as I know some of you are working on both.

Last posting date for Whatever's blanket squares is Saturday 17th September.
*Hope that's ok with you all. Any later squares will go on Cheese's blanket as I'll be working on Whatever's first.

Squares for Whatever and Cheese are coming to me, not Pidj.
I'll PM the address to you as early as I can this week

Please include any leftover wool - I'll use this to put the blankets together. Also include your MN name so I can tell you they have arrived.

If you'd like to send a card for Whatever and Cheese, I'll package these up with the blankets.

If you'd like your squares to go on a specific blanket, please write me a little note.

I'm off to work for a few hours. Will return any PMs on my return.

Many thanks.

appleblossoms · 05/09/2011 10:59

I've finally finished my squares and will take them to the post office tomorrow. The green wool was from a donor, via lydia, two balls were donated and one came to me. Not sure who by....but whoever you are, thank you and I hope you like the squares. I think I've put them on my profile...

purplepidjin · 05/09/2011 11:22

Morning everyone. I love all the squares!

I got home from camping at 1 o'clock this morning - apologies for my absence all weekend Blush As I was in the middle of a giant field surrounded by friends and very very fast drag-racing Volkswagens I didn't get much MNing done, sorry!

The Woolly Thankyou's thread has been updated and, from the sound of my letter box just then needs doing again Star

gapants · 05/09/2011 13:53

have posted off my squares to you purplepidjin so you should be getting them tomorrow.

I weaved the ends in and have included a teeny bit of wool left over. There are 4 in total.

I dunno how to do pics on my profile. I did to hearts, a basket weave and a diagonal weavey one too.

KnottyLocks · 05/09/2011 15:31

I've PMed the address details for Whatever and Cheese's blankets. If you haven't had the PM and are making squares for these blankets, please PM me.
Thanks.

Littlefish · 05/09/2011 21:42

I've knitted 4 squares and just need to sew the ends in before posting them off to you.

itsthawooluff · 06/09/2011 08:29

Bupcakes - thank you for the wool. Our squares are done and will be posted tomorrow. Apologies for delay, but was on hols so only got back yesterday afternoon.

Readyisknitting · 06/09/2011 10:59

Not caught up with the thread, but sent my squares off yesterday, sorry it took so long- I got ambitious with my patterns!!!! They'll need blocking ideally. Pics on my profile, thank you so much to my donorSmile

Bogeyface · 06/09/2011 12:35

I need some help!

I have managed to do 2 squares but I really am struggling to do a third. I have been told by the doctor that I have an inflamed tendon in my arm/shoulder and sitting in my "knitting position" makes it unbelieveably painful. If I send on my 2 squares would someone be able to use the last of the yarn to make the third please?

purplepidjin · 06/09/2011 12:44

Readyis, you need to make your profile public so i can be nosy see!!

Bogey, do NOT make yourself ill. We need yarn for joining and edging so please just send it - it will come in very useful Star
