I've just heard the sad news about Magic8ballhasstheanswers leaving 6mo twins and a 4yo Sad

If anybody would like to show their condolences, post here and we'll organise it. I'll take on construction again unless someone else would like a turn?

IvySedai (who messaged me to let me know) is happy to co-ordinate so PM's from Donors and Crafters needing a match to her please.

Previous squares were 6", knitted or crocheted. Blues, pinks and purples were the most popular colours. Debbie Bliss Cashmerino or Rowan Cashsoft DK (links are just the first ones I found on google) It's also available in John Lewis.

Lastly, was there anything in particular that Magic liked and could be incorporated in the design?

Lovely ladies, I have had a message from CheeseandGherkins about her other children's initials - they are C, M and E - so if anyone could please offer up those letters, as well as the S for Scarlett, that would be lovely, thank you.

hi, ive spoke to Debbie Bliss (not the lady herself!) this morning order is in and to be dispatched today, and i should receive them tomorrow/monday. If people want to reserve colours and pay once i have the stock in the shop thats fine.
The colours ive ordered are
cream
pale green
pale blue
lilac
pink
They didnt say any were out of stock so fingers crossed we've got them all!

I know that some donors haven't had their matches yet: I'm waiting on a few addresses. I haven't forgotten you Smile

We haven't set a last posting date yet, but realistically it won't be for at least another 14 days or so as Magic8's squares are still in production.
The last posting date for Magic8's squares is Friday 9th September.

I've had this thread moved to Arts and Crafts.
If we leave it in Chat, it will disappear. If it's in Arts and Crafts, any family or friends can read it at a later date if they so wish.

I've just ordered 3 balls of wool (jeans, soft teal and mauve) and sent them West. If you are the arty recipient of these please don't feel you have to use all of them up on this project.... there were too many gorgeous shades to choose from and I couldn't make up my mind. Please feel free to put surplus wool towards another MN knitting project or anything else you're making that could use it.

Thank you for being willing to share your knitting skills so that I am able to donate.

Did not realise there were two threads running on this... finished my squares last night and you can see them on my blog. I meant to get to the PO this afternoon but had to deal with a chum's puking bulldog (yuk!) but I will be there at 9.00am in the morning.

I have finished my squares (got 4 out of one ball- hope they are the right size) and will pop them in the post tomorrow, I am happy to keep knitting if someone wants to donate some wool to me for the other blanket?

I've pm'd you pidj, two squares finished and ready to post - I don't have much wool left due to general incompetence being a beginner but I think the squares have turned out ok! I'll try and get a pic of the second square on my profile over the weekend at some point :)
