I've just heard the sad news about Magic8ballhasstheanswers leaving 6mo twins and a 4yo Sad

If anybody would like to show their condolences, post here and we'll organise it. I'll take on construction again unless someone else would like a turn?

IvySedai (who messaged me to let me know) is happy to co-ordinate so PM's from Donors and Crafters needing a match to her please.

Previous squares were 6", knitted or crocheted. Blues, pinks and purples were the most popular colours. Debbie Bliss Cashmerino or Rowan Cashsoft DK (links are just the first ones I found on google) It's also available in John Lewis.

Lastly, was there anything in particular that Magic liked and could be incorporated in the design?

All the squares that are shown are lovely! They're going to be beautiful blankets. :)

posterofawolef · 23/08/2011 13:18

I could just post the list, but I don't know if there is anyone else who doesn't want to be outed?

gapants · 23/08/2011 13:22

Oh thank you Ivy, that is really great.

lia66 · 23/08/2011 13:30

bear I can send you a ball of mine, I ordered 2 but realistically can only use one myself as I am a very very novice knitter

BearGryllsBra · 23/08/2011 14:21

lia66 that's very sweet of you, I'll pm you now. :)

DutchOma · 23/08/2011 14:37

No wool yet...

ComradeJing · 23/08/2011 14:40

DutchOma I'm your donor. I'm going to PM you now.

KnottyLocks · 23/08/2011 14:40

Bear, the Debbie Bliss and Rowan wools are more or less the same. They are both wonderful to work with and feel really snuggly once made. My squares are a combination of the two and you can't really see or feel any difference.

ComeWhineWithMe · 23/08/2011 14:42

I have paid for wool this morning and explained to seller why it is needed so she is sending it asap.

I was matched with someone with first name befinning with F and in Bucks.

Two balls are on their way.

WhoremoaneeGrainger · 23/08/2011 14:49

My wool arrived this morning, so i will get cracking later on.

drcrab · 23/08/2011 14:50

has my knitter received my wool yet??! I'm looking forward to our co-creation! :)

Moanna · 23/08/2011 14:59

I don't have my wool yet either, but I'm in Ireland so will probably take longer.

theglove · 23/08/2011 15:20

Ivy, if I have a donor, I don't mind being outed Smile I'd like to be able to thank them.

Lovely squares so far!

LadyWellian · 23/08/2011 15:32

Bit late to the thread - Pidj, I did a couple of squares at the weekend with wool I had left over from the Edgars' blanket - is that OK or is there another colour scheme? I didn't know Magic8Ball but am desperately sorry for her family.

purplepidjin · 23/08/2011 15:43

LadyW, it's all the same principles - as long as the wool type is right, anything goes Smile

Thank you Star

Hi Nessa - that will be why you said hello earlier! I didn't twig, sorry x
Anyway, glad to hear it is all looking great - I have the craft skills of an arthritic budgie. Can't wait to see the finished product

NessaRose · 23/08/2011 15:54

Gay40, when I've finished I will see if I can figure out how to get the pictures up.
So far I have finished one plain and a ribbing type pattern. I will do a more fancy one now I have got back in to the swing of it.

LadyWellian · 23/08/2011 16:08

Aw, thanks Pidj.

KnottyLocks · 23/08/2011 16:24

Pidj, have contacted MN Towers re our Star as requested.

KnottyLocks · 23/08/2011 16:32

For those still looking for wool, there's some bargain Debbie Bliss and Rowan Cashsoft in the yarn bargain section here. They are pretty good with prompt posting too.
