Are there any objections if I use the leftover wool from the Edgar and Rindercella blankets to make something for Blondes? I've got loads! Anyone with leftovers feel free to pm me about either sending it on or sending more squares :)

I've done one!!!!! I have officially made a square! Ok, its more a 7x6 rectangle, but its almost a square and I did it all on my own!!

I'm off to try a second one now. Not sure I will get a second out the same wool as I think I used more than I should (my tension is not as tight!) but going to crack on with the other colour.

So I should have two squares at least to post by the end of the weekend Grin

Smokin - do you remember whether the 7" was the length of the rows you were knitting - if so, reduce the number of stitches you're casting on by 1/7th (ie if you made it 35 stitches wide, next time only cast on 30). If it was 7" long - get a tapemeasure! Grin

mistlethrush it was the number cast on. I cast on for 33, but got 7inches so next time will cast on for 28 (tested and that seems more 6 inches) Knotty said its my tension, being a newbie to it all and that. Dont worry, the length is just about 6 inches (maybe an little more with the casting off) as the tape measure did me proud!!

Hip Hip Hooray for Smokin!!

7" is absolutely fine, I can wiggle that. I think the smallest square I've had so far was 4" Hmm There are some very odd tape measures out there Confused

I'll be stuck at work all bloody weekend without quite enough squares to get on with things. It's my short week at work when i get to have a proper life next week so you all need to get a shift so I can get it done Mon 6th - Wed 8th Grin
