There's been a spate of threads recently about things JK Rowling has shamefully failed to comment on. Wouldn't it be easier to put them all in a single thread?

I'll start.

JK Rowling has shamefully failed to comment on the Manchester City fraud scandal.

I’m out of wine. Has JKR sent fresh supplies? Has she buggery.

After a total of eight hours today in the members' online queue for tickets, only to reach "Page Not Found" yet again, we've given up. So it looks as if we'll be visiting Normandy in 2028.

I’m sorry to hear this. I’ve had similar experiences in terms of male violence. It doesn’t give me the right to decide for others how to process it. “Trans women” are men. It’s as simple as that. They pose the same risk to women as any other man. In a female space, they are not welcomed by the majority of women because it’s a violation of our privacy and dignity. Why do you think you can decide for other women what their boundaries are allowed to be around men?

Unfortunately I do have experience of both domestic violence and sexual assault (and neither of the perpetrators were trans women, or felt they had to dress up as woman and sneak about to do that), and actually I’m proud that it hasn’t made me unable to show solidarity with trans women. For me, those men would have won if they’d made me crueller or less inclusive. You may well disagree, but that’s my experience.

This is such disordered thinking I really think you need some therapy to untangle it.

Firstly you correctly categorise what you call 'trans women' as men. Yet berate others here that do the same thing.

Then you say the men were not trans, but you dont know that, many men when arrested immediately find their inner 'woman' at that point in their lives, weirdly enough. If one your attackers had been arrested for his crimes and declared his pronouns were she/her would you have bristled with rage or been happy he has finally found his true self?

Then you say they would have 'won' if you then went on to not include other men in 'feminism', therefore putting other women and girls at risk of any man who says he is 'trans'. What makes you think they would have 'won' if you'd gone on to correctly identify all other men as a risk and lost if you didnt?

You are not some sort of heroine for 'inclusively' by including men in 'feminism', ensuring that whatever men need they get. That is not feminism.

You are not being honest about the nature of the problem. Which is men.

Or perhaps somewhat higher based upon the rate of sexual offending amongst the TIM prison population.

I've had a rotten cough all week - keeping me awake and what has JK done? Nothing. No get well flowers or a card. Not even lousy packet of strepsils. I'm SUFFERING here but she clearly had more important things to do. Selfish mare!

Anyway, mushroomcat (real name Figaro) is back on here laughing at the thread. He doesn't know what's funnier. The fun posts about JK or the drivel posted by this thread's derailer.

This is sadly a trend, @Tears0fTheMushroom . I've had a horrible cold for days and there hasn't been so much as a tweet from JKR, and certainly no home delivery of lemsip, despite her huge wealth.

All because it clashes with her hateful narrative that "you can only catch colds from transwomen"

I am FEWMIN that JKR has CONSPIRED with Clarence to deploy the roadworks that stopped me getting to my gym class.

Yes, but for the sake of argument there is unequivocally zero evidence to suggest that they pose less risk to women than others of their sex. I agree that there is some limited evidence to suggest that the risk they pose is statistically higher but I think that needs further investigation. The status quo should be that they are treated exactly the same as other men in risk profiling.

She's also never offered to furminate me to keep me from swallowing too much fur, which amounts to genocide.

She's probably evilly plotting to send you cake in the post.

That sounds exhausting! I guess I'll have to resign myself to probably not seeing it, but I'll try in January just in case. Otherwise, I'll have to try Myrtle's suggestions.

I remember it being very busy at the Magna Carta exhibition, but no problems like this. At least I got to see that.

Indeed it is - and earlier this week, I paid £90 for a new one because I'd worn out the old one. JKR, where were you in my hour of need at the bike shop?!

Edited to add: I pay more than my husband for some bike parts (namely chainrings) because my special brand cost double what ordinary Shimano parts cost, thanks to me being smaller than Average Man. I've never once seen JKR using her extraordinary commenting powers to persuade Shimano that their standard crank lengths is a feminist issue. Dereliction in duty, I'd say.

I am enslaved by several feline over lords both short haired and fluffy. When I search furminator several different products appear - a dual brush, a rake and an undercoat thing. I'm assuming it's the undercoat thing I need to try and stop the fluffy bastard vomiting fur sausages onto my slippers, carpets and bedding.
JKR has thus far provided no clarity on which furminator product I should buy.

I ride singlespeed, so don't use derailleurs. It occurs to me that JKR has never helped push me up steep hills, which are difficult when you don't have gears. The least she could do is send tweets of encouragement. She's also failed to offer to wash my sweaty cycling clothes.
