There's been a spate of threads recently about things JK Rowling has shamefully failed to comment on. Wouldn't it be easier to put them all in a single thread?

I'll start.

JK Rowling has shamefully failed to comment on the Manchester City fraud scandal.

Well I went for a 'quick snuggle' with my cat earlier today and woke up cold about 3 hours later because Joanne had refused to comment on the fact it was a bad idea and I'd probably fall asleep.

Nor did she bother to set my alarm or arrange for a blanket to be thrown over me.

Even the cat was unimpressed by the lack of comment from her on his rather fine fur mat he's been sneakily growing on his left side.

I’m not sure why I’ve been cast as a person that doesn’t understand that people disagree with me, despite having disagreed with people on this very website, and others, on this topic, and others, for many years.

So, I lift weights for my future old lady body and my workout this afternoon was really tough!

I blame JKR for inventing bulgarian split squats and the like. There's literally so much she could be doing with her considerable funds, but instead, she's committed herself to torturing me in the most inhuman ways possible.😤

I'd be a bit scared of introducing him to Boo, who is an indoor cat now but formerly had quite a lot to do with rabbits.

I think people on this board usually say 'trans identifying man'.

It focuses attention on the thing that is contextually relevant - their sex - and is more inclusive because it recognises that not all men who identify as trans identify as women.

Personally, I don't tend to assume anyone else's identity.

I had a hair cut last week. JKR has not thought to mention if it looks good or awful or meh. How will I know if I'm fit to be seen in public or not?

I commend you on your sensitive wording. My cat currently has quite a lot to do with mice. The mice would rather a more distant relationship.

Can you honestly not imagine a world where cis women disagree with you?

Don't be daft, @Canadanian - really know anyone voluntarily calling themselves a cis woman isn't going to agree with us.

Inserting that space in the middle of 'transwoman' to pretend that Woman is the noun and Trans is the adjective also tells us you hold a belief system that gender identity is significant.

We tend to assume that rational women posting on the sex and gender ghetto section of FWR have enough concern for women's rights to not include males. But there are a smattering of gender believers around, and that's all well and good.

I'm getting on and my protesting days are over due to arthritis, but I and many of the posters on this board have a history of activism, Reclaim The Night walks, standing outside Marie Stopes clinics (when closed) to counter protest the anti abortion nutters, volunteering at collections for shelters and on helplines.

Like Ms Rowling, many of us here have years of defending women's rights behind us. This misogyny wrapped in a progress flag is just the latest attempt to keep women down.

We're fighting for your rights too. I sincerely hope you never have cause to need it, but if you do, we'll be there.

Feminism is for all women, even the ones we disagree with. And not for males.
