There's been a spate of threads recently about things JK Rowling has shamefully failed to comment on. Wouldn't it be easier to put them all in a single thread?

I'll start.

JK Rowling has shamefully failed to comment on the Manchester City fraud scandal.

So I didn't speak out on a thing you thought I should have spoken out on?

You’re not multi-tasking though. As I’ve pointed out a couple of times, I think there’s a super anti-feminist post on this thread that implies it’s likely a woman has made up a gang rape, and not one of you has challenged it 🤷‍♀️

I agree your gender critical beliefs are completely unrelated to matters related to women’s safety and dignity.

HOWEVER, do you think it’s not goal scoring that people have questioned JKR’s response to the Cornell 7 (because that IS the context that has prompted this thread) and you lot have responded with 10 pages of jokes about it? Do you genuinely think you’re being more respectful to someone’s pain? And do you think the person up thread who isn’t sure the woman involved hasn’t just made the whole gang rape up is more respectful to her pain than me?

I see JKR also has not used her wealth to buy some people a sense of humor or, indeed, a life. And they walk among us. Shame on her!

Read my response to @BirdLandedonmyHead - if you think I’m being less respectful than the ten pages of of jokes you lot have made or the poster suggesting the woman made up a gang rape (who STILL nobody else has challenged), then you have really lost all sense of things.

The response is to the suggestion that JKR is supposed to comment on every story in the world. It’s a ridiculous claim, which is therefore being ridiculed.

People outside the UK have a particular problem understanding the thread as they don’t understand the culture of taking the piss.

I don't wish to be the thread police, but I feel some posters are not truly appreciating the point of the thread which is that so called 'feminist' JK Rowling has not yet brought my washing in and it looks a bit cloudy out there.
